They did have a helping hand (or lack of) when Grobelaar dived over the ball and Oldham won at Anfield (I think). It went to court and he was officially exonerated.

true.
I think we know what really went on with mr.G in goal.

You seem to be forgetting or ignoring the Zaha factor. He played in the 2 wins but not in the two abject losing performances, and our record when he's absent is well documented and doesn't make pretty reading. That record has to change and change pronto if we are not get sucked into the fight for survival.

Not ignoring the Zaha thing. But like a lot of stats I think it’s a coincidence. Seen loads of games we’ve won with him playing, where he hasn’t contributed much.
Spurs didn’t win a game for ages when Bale played, during his first spell, wasn’t because he’s a bad player, it just happened.
Allison has made more goal costing errors than Kepa in the same number of games , doesn’t mean much as a stat.
Take the Burnley game, would Wilf have stopped the 3 goals or scored/assisted 4 ?
They all need to be told that they are playing like a bunch of c*nts and need to liven up.

Roy just said another two out injured making 11 in all. Squad not good enough to handle that. Still a real possibility of relegation which would be a disaster.

Indeed, and yet we seem to fall to pieces when he's not playing. I believe it's a psychological thing and that our players go out expecting to lose when Wilf isn't there. On the other hand, Zaha's presence seems to give them confidence even when he's not playing well himself. Perhaps they think that even when he's having a poor game he might still turn on a sudden bit of magic that transforms the game.

All conjecture on my part, I know, but I don't see our pathetic record without Zaha as a coincidence.

Reminds me of the days when I was young and trying to win an important game on a Sunday morning. And somebody mentions your best player was last seen throwing up in a nightclub and still in bed ? We knew we had our work cut out Lol !!

So for all those that keep saying we are safe nothing to worry about well with Fulham winning we are 7pts clear if we lose to Brighton as expected what a big game Fulham will now be lose & it’s down to 4pts win & it will be 10pts & probably sees us safe.

The next week is so big in our current season.

On a bright note I am expecting to see Wilf start on Monday?

Would be surprised to see him start v Brighton If there is a doubt about his injury would rather they hold him back for the Fulham,West Brom games

There’s 3 teams between us and Fulham. So all 4 need to catch us and overtake us.
I’m not expecting us to lose to Brighton.

We look like the worst team in the league at the moment I say that with certainty now every game is televised we bring nothing to the table in terms of entertainment weak in defence no midfield and no striker it's a recipe for disaster

We need 10 points from something like 14 games ? Possibly 42 points to play for ?
