where was a honest supply tonight
to the forwards tonight!!

PVA was poor again defensively. No imagination or plan going forward.
Benteke and batshuayi were embarrassing.
With each passing week it seems like Roy is becoming more and more dangerous to the club.
The players are clueless about what it is they are trying to do on the pitch. Sideways passing and lack of movement won't win games of football.
Change needed very quickly.

9 changes shows clearly that Roy knows his best 11 and system for them. It showed that attacking players don’t necessarily yield results. It showed that w3 are desperately missing a creative midfield player Jairo nor Eze are creative enough. Neither of them can pass accurately enough. It showed we will miss Schlupp badly.
On the other side it showed how good a team Wolves are with their organisation and work rate they gave gave us no room not that we could have used it anyway. Ok so now we know we can release PVA , McCarthy, Sakho, Jairo Ayew . Anyone else ?
Roy clearly is getting the best out of this squad they are just ,except for the best 11 , not up to getting us in the top half of the league.COYP

If you get the ball up to Benteke and Bats it just pings back again, no hold-up play at-all.

Ray Lewington doesn't do apoplexy in the cup, just the league!!

Another pitiful display by overpaid dwindling talents managed by Parish’s love child When will our illustrious chairman realise we are an awful watch and will continue to be so with Roy in charge I pray this January or the seasons end we get the likes of VA Sakho McCarthy Meyer Benteke Wickham off our wage bill and recruit younger blood

There was a moment late in the second half where the ball was played over the top and in behind to Batshuayi and I thought "okay good get onto that and attack the space, maybe something will happen here"

This fool completely lost sight of the ball and it bounced straight off his back allowing the defender an easy clearance.

To top it all off, the obligatory offside from him proved too irresistible for it not to have happened.

Batshuayi needs to pack his bags as he's done at Palace and as for Benteke, I've never seen a big man with such poor hold up play... He's at best decent on his day and nothing more for us

Absolutely awful.
I would like a scenario whereby he goes back to Chelsea and is replaced by Giroud until the end of the season.
Benteke has reverted back to type.

Roy had his chance tonight to experiment a little and he made changes that were absolutely disgraceful with no sense.it looked like he found the tactics and lineup in a corn flake box this morning.. Tonight was his chance to try Eze in a number 10 role but he hadn’t the minerals to leave Batshuayi out of the team.

Roy has to take every ounce of blame for that shambles,

I have said it twice tonight and umpteen times before, Jairo Riedewald is not good enough for the premier league. Watching him attempt to navigate a football pitch is pitiful. James McCarthy is 3 times the player that he will ever be.

Always look on the bright side of life:

1) no injuries (except Sakho?)
2) we didn't tire ourselves out
3) several players showed why they seldom play
4) with no more FA cup for us, no worries about #1 or #2
5) we didn't have to watch Luka commit senseless fouls

I wish there were unlimited substitutions in a game like this. Everyone on the squad could play 60-70 minutes, and it might even be entertaining. Roy could appoint Wilf the captain and coach, and let him and the lads decide positions and rotation for themselves. They might even look like they were having fun.

I think you will find that whatever 11 players Roy puts out makes no difference if tactics and balance isn’t used correctly.

EXACTLY THAT

Awful, just awful. Chasing the game with 20 to play so we pass the ball backwards, sideways, backward time and time again. What the hell does he teach them on the training pitch?

That was a very tame performance, I thought the FA Cup warranted some 'never say die', 'backs to the wall' 'blood & guts' and all that.
What we got tonight from Palace was basically pathetic!
Batshuayi is useless, Ayew is too greedy. Van Aanholt and Reiderwald not up to standard.

As for teamwork and having a good go at Wolves tonight zilch! 2 foul throws, no shots on target as well, a corner as well in the dying seconds placed magnificently in the arms of Ruddy!
No wonder Buckland didn't bother to run up the pitch and jostle in the penalty area for it as he's 6ft 5inches tall!!!
As someone posted at least nobody wasted money on actually buying a ticket to watch it!!

I am not sure what balance and tactics could have been used with the starting 11 that would have outfought and broken down such a well organised team as Wolves. It is the players qualify which is the issue in my view. COYP
