I feel for Sheff Utd, Zaha should have gone for that.

And Eze's goal was scored in "Fergie time".

What's that all about??

Even when we win some people still have to have a go at Roy. Pathetic.

Especially from them.

No wonder they have had so many narrow defeats if they don't bother chasing games. Wilder has to go.

Good performance all round by us. Everyone played well. Not too many chances, but job done against a potential banana skin. Plan A worked. Onto the next one after a party round Luka's

I hope they stay up and retain Wilder, nice easy touch for six points every season.

Happy for Mitchel today, showed maturity, awareness & guile with no fuss, just an honest DEFENSIVE display. Him & Schlupp can form a great partnership, trouble is, Shluppy is poss out for 4-6 games with a hammy.

Saying that, when Eze came on, it didnt faze Mitchell one little bit, he knew what he gad to do & did it(imo) very well.

PVA? Who are you.

Disappointed we have just rested on our laurels second half but beggars can’t be choosers and 3 points are very welcome This year Milo Pva and Sakho will soon be on their way and questions remain as to whether other senior players contracts will be renewed - so watch this space!

I saw only one team who looked like scoring and in all honesty really should've got one more during that second half, Townsend probably the most frustrated out of all of them, Zaha gave the ball away a lot but was involved in probably our best move from the back to see Townsends shot that was going in blocked, our passing generally was not good enough again but we did have five excellent moves, good game for our confidence and fans should not be disappointed with all things taken into consideration.

Just a warning to everyone before watching MOTD: Shearer (on Radio 5) has already described Eze's goal as "magnificent".

I think we'll have to get him a Thesaurus. Or perhaps Willo could suggest some other words for him to use.

Very happy with the 3pts today. I was fully expecting we'd gift them their first win today for no reason other than it'd be the Palace way.

Great to get a clean sheet with another decent display from the returning Mitchell and Tomkins.

Oh yeah and what a goal. Eze I love the guy.

Really hoping in the transfer window we're able to shift a few bits of costly deadwood Sakho, Meyer, Wickham and replace with some youthful prospects... but maybe I'm being greedy.

Nice start to the new year.

Good win but can’t get too carried away. Sheff Utd look dead and buried already.

Great work rate by Townsend and McArthur. Hopefully Tomkins will shore up our back line and he looked much better today. Benteke and Luka were the weak links again.

Tbh, i wanted the win, but, i didnt think we would, so, tfft & a CLEAN sheet. What about the goals, the 1st gets a hammy injury(4 games ish) & his sub scores a gots, which the bbc/sky wont entertain.

Also the 'Trout' went back to the UK this morning.

BBC are talking about it as GOTM and possibly GOTS

I was yelping with unbridled delight on my comfortable sofa when Eze scored that exquisite goal.
Face wreathed with merriment, glowing with happiness.

Eze made it look soooo easy. Even Maradona couldn’t do that. Like Pele. It’s like he ghosted it. No one got anywhere near him. Sign of a top player. Our man is gonna be a super star. And in his MoM nterview he was so unphased. Superstar.

Although I’m not defending Wilfs punch, he was definitely fouled. Must be so frustrating. Sadly he’ll never learn probably why we’ve still got him. Thank you God.
