I hope he comes good, too early to say, but really what does Ayew have to do to secure that position? Tosun has been shoehorned in straight on loan, yet Ayew has found the net 6 times this season?

Tosun came straight in because we had no other players to play out wide. Meyer was injured against City and plays like he is injured the rest of the time.

It certainly was a glaring miss. The way I am viewing it is which of our team I would rather have been where Tosun was when he got the chance. I cant think of another Palace player who would have given me any more confidence to run through and slot that chance away. So I shouldn't lose any sleep over it, we dont seem to do 'easy'.

Tosun's effort was nearer to goal than Benteke's would have been in a similar situation! One can only imagine the high-grade ordnance dropped on Benteke if he has skied the shot like Tosun.Fulmination and ordure in liberal quantities.

The good old 'Wingless wonders' ! In all seriousness, Wilf should be on the right. This would give the hapless Kelly some respite hopefully. I would have more faith with whoever was on the left because of Riedewald looking solid. Ayew showed a calm when one on one against Man U's keeper...

I recall a 'Raw' Ian Wright missing the target when his career was in its infancy.I don't believe I am demonising Tosun and subjecting him to dollops of ordure for that single miss, in fact I did assert that perhaps a defender running back on to the line had an impact. Not withstanding my comments, hitting the target is a minimum requirement - Solskjaer was an accomplished finisher who hit the target most times. In general terms, some strikers are instinctive one-touch finishers who are perhaps not at their best when running through on goal with a goalkeeper to beat. Tosun received a ball from Zaha last Saturday with 2 defenders closing in on him, didn’t have time to dwell and produced an instinctive shot with power, which Edison happened to save.

With respect it would appear that you are of the opinion that I am heaping great blame on Tosun and heaping ordure on him. In general the focus of my ordure last night was on a range of players and overall the performance was nothing short of a disgrace.Playing at home, NO shots on target and NO corners, the lowest of the low.

Willow, you're not the chap I had a brief chat with in Park Road last night who bemoaned that he travelled from Worthing to watch that are you ?

But,currently 7 points off the drop zone and 5 points above Brighton with our six injury stricken players returning by our next fixture in February, which Roy likens to new signings.
