Our midfield was terrible today. For all my hopes that Meyer would become our midfield playmaker today he didn't do enough. Yes he got kicked a bit and then took a real one (accidental though). But before he was injured I was really disappointed how little he showed for the ball and his exceedingly safe distribution after he received - though he did give the ball away a few times! Luka - well enough has said on his performance even before he got himself sent off. Clear red from where I was sitting. Jimmy M huffed and puffed but didn't really get going - but he was carrying two passengers. I do wonder whether Wickham's immobility hurt us too. You'd have to say probably. Would have been better just playing and Pierrick up front and played 4 in the middle - we needed the extra man. As for their goal - well the fullbacks hardly covered themselves in glory. Wayne had no chance. The injury list gets bigger - lets hope PvA or Schlupp are fit soon.

I think Steve Parish had his heart set on a cup run - perhaps that’s why Roy put out an experienced side.

I'm sort of glad we didn't get an equaliser. The last thing we need is another game. Lots of boos rang our around the ground for Wayne Rooney at the start but I have to say he put in a classy performance. There is a certain pleasure to be had in watching a top-line seasoned pro. He was calm and collected and knew exactly what he was doing. He hardly broke into a sweat and was spraying the ball around the park with unerring accuracy. In contrast our players seemed to find it a lot easier to pass the ball to the opposition than to their own team mates.

No ambition apart from premiership survival. Palace fans deserve more. In some ways we would be better off going down. At least we would have the right players for the championship as most are not premiership quality. We are just lucky this year that there are a few worst teams than us this year. Though if as usual we have a poor transfer window anything is possible. In at nutshell we are s***e!

It's depressing. We are shyte without Wilf. But we knew that. Roy MUST know that. Yet nothing changes. I confess I have no knowledge of the running of the club but
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

On MOTD, it was interesting to see Roy’s lovey-dovey stuff with Rooney BEFORE the match. I would have preferred him to have saved the cuddles and affection until AFTER the match. Our manager was making our opponents’ star player welcome. No wonder he had such a good game I wonder what the Palace players thought of that.Probably not a lot. Glad I didnt get up for this. So , coming from the point of view of reading the score then looking at the team, two things strike me. Camarasa is done, can it really just be that he is out of favour? Surely more to it. The team sheet seems to be a message to the owners that the present squad cannot do without Wilf. I cant think of any other reason not to rest players and start at least one more youngster. Other than that shame about Riedewald, a run of games was doing him good. If we do get new players, i think thats probably it for him and Max.

I suspect that Riedewald, playing out of position, has exceeded the expectations of a great number of our supporters whilst Meyer has not lived up to expectations. At end of the day, it’s down to Roy and he completely fed this one up. Playing a tired first team with no room for error cost us 3 more players out. The tactics never change regardless .. it’s seriously becoming anti football at home and away. A really really really bad day and unfortunately Roy won’t change. Sad to say BHA had the right idea CH may of kept them in the premier but was slowly killing the team. Sorry Roy please retire at the end of the season
