Integral part of the team today, had a good game apart from the perennial problem. Simple fact is we wouldn't have won without him.
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

Some of his play was simply sublime. Shame he's misplaced his scoring boots.

Would rather have Benteke than the Burnley lumps up front.

He had more space today, this due to Sakho's physical presence drawing the defenders off of Benteke. But as people noted, four great chances to score, but zip.

Benteke looks slow when he really isn't. He played a good game today and with him in the side the other team simply has to cover him allowing the other strikers to wreak havoc. Benteke is an integral part of our recent success, and when he manages to find his scoring touch (as Sako has) the goals will come pouring in. Great to see Luka as captain as he is the Jedi we were missing. Loved the way he and other teammates grabbed Zaha away from the arguments too. Not a Hennessey fan, but 'today' he was 100%, I just wish he could maintain this level because he too often doesn't show up - but well done to gim - won as 2 points as that save was brilliant and it was deffo going in. As for Sako, I just can hardly believe it's the same bloke... It's like having another Zaha!

Anyone see the replay of the Sako's non-penalty decision? Worth looking if you haven't. Check out for Benteke - when he sees Sako going alone he literally stops running when he should have kept going to the goal mouth, looking for the rebound had the shot been spilled by the keeper. Surely a striker is looking, sniffing, for those opportunities? He is completely lacking confidence.

He seems to have got most of his game back together over the last few weeks and is a key part of the team. He provides the perfect foil for Sako and Wilf. Roy knows the score and knows his value to the team, despite his lack of goals this season.
