I know a lot of people are asking how can Chelsea afford all these players with FFP. Essentially when they sign a player the cost of that player is spread over the length of the players contract for the purposes of FFP and their accounts. So a 50mill player on a 5 year contract is 10mill a year on the accounts. However, when a player is sold the total cost is put on the selling clubs current season accounts. So Chelsea want to sell their youngsters to offset them being able to make the big signings. A 100mill player being bought on a 5 year contract costs just 20mill on the current season's accounts and so selling a player for 20mill offsets this. which is also why Chelsea would not do a swap Hall for Olise because it doesnt work for the model they are following. Wow. Assuming that’s genuine it’s a massive boost. Personally I thought he would be daft to go to Chelsea this year. Subject to him regaining 100% fitness he will be outstanding for us for at least this season. Looks like he ‘played’ Chelsea to get a better deal at Palace 😂😂😂

He must have had a massive pay rise. Credit where credit is due well done to SP for sorting this out and getting Olise to stay.

Incredible news; looks like Parish and Freedman have played an absolute blinder! Hopefully that puts all the news of other departures to rest and Roy can get on with a great season for CPFC
