The players are absolutely restricted by the tactics. There’s no flair, no expression, no passion, no blood sweating for the club. The whole thing is soulless and depressing. He’ll say nice things about Man City at the end - how good they are, how organised, how skillfull - but not why he set up to be so negative, so s***, how bad at passing we are, how poor our decision making is etc. Everyone will say what a lovely bloke he is and that will mask the total abject performance as people will be more focussed on what a lovely old gent he is and he can hide behind that. Well it’s bollox.
I wanted to stay in the EPL as we’d get the money to do the ground up. On the basis that seems highly unlikely and I reckon we’ll be let down there as well, I’d rather be in the Championship where we could, at least, have a crack at a promotion campaign. No U23 on the bench with 2 places free is utterly shameful as well. Parish should kick his arse for that alone.

No attacking intent. Just there to keep the score down. It's sad to watch us not even have a go. No Spirit and no togetherness

I would say all of them, the passing was so poor but it’s because they have no time on the ball because they are so slow. Desperately miss Schlupp and Wilf for any pace in the side

Yes, reluctantly agree. I hate seeing us play like this though. It’s embarrassing trying to explain to supporters of other teams why we are so crap at times.

Just tell them the truth

You have to have downs to have proper ups

And playing like this is a tactic to keep the prawn sandwich brigade away.

About what I thought it'd be prior to the game really.. not as though that makes it any easier to stomach.

Arguably toughest fixture of the season out of the way. City will win the league this year so no shame tbh. They’re a cut above us and without Wilf & Schlupp and yep, Benteke ... we were never going to offer an attacking threat.

My only real concern is our defence isn’t as resolute as it once was. A huge worry this ...
