It may well do, as that overarching mental attitude has the potential to directly affect the level of work put in and the compliance with do’s and don’ts, during treatment and rehabilitation. Some will work harder and be more committed to looking after themselves than others and that will directly affect their bodies and their recovery rates.

There have also been numerous studies conducted on the very subject of how mental attitude can affect treatment and recovery, furthermore highlighting that the two can be intrinsically linked.

I’m not saying there has been anything wrong with Connors attitude, only that Elphers40 expressed opinion cannot be dismissed out of hand, because he may well be right.

But what can be said with absolute certainty is that neither Elpher, nor anyone else on this site, has any access to any information or evidence to suggest that Wickham has anything other than the requisite approach to his profession.

Honestly, scroll back through a few pages of this one thread alone. Is it any wonder footballers, managers and chairmen keep supporters at arms length? What if you or I were subject to the same baseless, unfair public criticism?

When you are in the public spotlight and you earn thousands of pounds a day let alone a week some would argue there is a responsibility that sits with you to be beyond reproach and there are plenty that are not. Precisely! And all I was saying is in light of that complete lack of insight or knowledge, one cannot dismiss Elphers expressed opinion out of hand, as people were trying to do, because it is possible that he is correct.
