People may not like this but i feel Wilf even at 27 is past his best. His pace is down too. Unless he does something special before the end of the season we will be lucky to get 45m for him

I know he was disappointed that he missed an easy chance at the end, but he was sitting on the pitch after the final whistle like he had lost the cup final. His heart is really not in it. And, yes he had a very poor game today. ? Certainly not at his best but deserves some slack for last season at the very least.

I give Wilf a pass. He probably attracts more defensive attention than any other player in the Premier League, not because he is the greatest threat -- he isn't -- but because of our lack of OTHER threats. Add to that, he has never been a good finisher. His greatest value has been drawing attention and drawing fouls, which hasn't led to many goals this season. Finally, as awkward as he looked today, the first thing Roy commented on, post-match, was the sogginess of the pitch. I do wish Wilf would ignore the taunting. And I believe he'd earn more favor from the refs if he didn't complain so often and so dramatically.

Just back from the match. Not a pretty game to watch. I was in the home section so had to restrain myself when we scored but did the have the joy of experiencing the home fans misery close at hand.

Great result. Ratings: Guiata 6, Ward 3, Dann 7, Cahill 7, Van Aanholt 3, McCarthy 6 (Jairo 6), Kouyate 6, McArthur 8; Ayew 4, Benteke 8, Wilf 7. How on earth could you award Cahill (who was immense) the same as Wilf (who had an off day and also missed a couple of sitters) Seriously, I want to know how?

Unless he does something special before the end of the season we will be lucky to get 45m for him I think he'd look a lot better with Townsend on the other flank. Very easy to gang up on him at the moment but imagine Zaha - Ayew - Townsend running at the opposition...

I said during the summer transfer window we should’ve taken the money offered and we should!. He’s done virtually nothing this season and is a shadow of his former self and seems to have lost his pace.. We should’ve sold when his stock was high last summer as we’ll get far less for him in the next window after this seasons form.
