Well that was a performance. OK so we were defensive for the majority of the game but that is to be expected against the Citeh stars. What we did however was crowd them out brilliantly with skilful defensive play and incredible commitment.
It looked like their two goals came as a result of Ayew getting tired and unable to track back to support Kelly and when the crosses came in Kelly was not able to be helping out in the penalty box where he had been in the majority of the game because of the Ayew support. Citeh did not lose two points we thoroughly earned them.COYP

Just back from the laptop...
Brilliant from Roy and the lads. How to take bare bones and forge a team that never give up.

We were up against a really top side and another big team ref ... he was so quick to deny our pen shout but so quick to award theirs (thanks VAR).
City were taking free kicks from the wrong place and with a rolling ball. Jordan Ayew got an innocuous yellow but when Wilf gets taken out, just a free kick (no card).

Cenk: alaways said he was a good player !
Anyway, top marks to the club including the travelling fans.

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

It is exactly because we were defensive, brilliantly defensive that we got a point instead of getting 5 or 6 goals.
Most of the time teams winning are the ones with the best defense.

I could not agree more and credit goes to our manager in understanding our players abilities and organising them in such a way to enable them to express their qualities.COYP

Kouyate instead of Luka for me for now.
I always said he was good when others didn't and he is now proving it as well as being versatile.
Tosun put in a shift and scored.
Good news all over the pitch!

Jolly well done to Hodgson, his coaching staff and of course the players.

Enjoying a pint in Hetherington’s. I thought the whole team were immense today. Big shout to Cenk who held the ball up really well which enabled us to get up the pitch and relive the pressure. Not seen a replay of the Wilf pen as it was down the other end. A few of the City fans here said it was a nailed on pen.
