2 goals in the last 4 games.
Abject, dire performance and I suspect that Hodgson will take the brunt of the criticism.

Possibly as this is RH’s whole footballing ethos.

Players who are functional and do what they are told defensively get it. Any midfielder is having it drilled into them to think “defence first”.

Part of that is down to there being better teams out there. I think Hangerland summed it up when he said training was all defensive and was based round every player knowing where they are in a defensive unit.

I honestly think Roy would take 11 Forrest Gumps if offered - 11
functional players who do what they are told before the game, but ignoring you need someone to control the game from within it.

I reckon if we gave Roy £20 million to spend we would get two more defensive midfielders - just in case.

The really sad thing is we setup the same regardless of yeh opposition. Chelsea away you can understand, but this would be the same wherever.

This disgusting performance is on team selection and tactics. I find it hard to blame the players today. Simply a negative outlook which was always doomed to fail.

You find it hard to blame the players. Did you watch that ? I agree our tactics are desperate and negative but that does not stop players from doing the simple things right. PVA and Schlupp should not Be near a football pitch.

The only crumb of comfort is that we have some points on the board, a fair few only through VAR decisions. I have already written the game script for the Scousers game which will put us firmly in the bottom half of the table. I'm off to put my score prediction as 0-2.

Without VAR we'd be on 12.

Just asking, does Roy thinks Camarasa or Meyer is no better than Schlupp ?

Whenever Meyer has played he has been a big disappointment and certainly no better than Schlupp who can head a ball and brings more physicality to the team than the German. And he brings that left-foot balance to the team.

I was crucified here for pointing out that with the quality of players we have, we should be doing better. That points to the manager. Playing for a draw does not work in this league. Only time we actually played was after going 1 nil down. Being 4th on the table was just that - a happenstance. With Hodgeson at the helme we are a bottom 4 team.

Hodgson has performed miracles for us particularly in his first season but I get the impression that supporters are losing faith in him.If we stay up however, he has met his objective and will deem that the ends justified the means.

Just on the way home after the game..lots of discussion about Roy in the terraces. At 73...time to hang up your boots!?!?

Would it be such a bad thing to try some different tactics? Let's say... being creative!

His trusted 11 never change, are completely predictable and quite honestly, boring to watch.

For the first season ever I couldn't care if we go down there's no fight no spark no creativity need to go down start over from scratch
