With you BRM.

Cabaye the most over rated Palace player ever.
Didn't really start to play for us until Big Sam turned up, then he actually started to be effective.

Cabaye was one of my favourite players, did a great job for the team to my eyes, but then we all see the game differently.

Not so long ago Andros, Jeffrey and even Wilf were getting grief for underperforming.

Controversial but my most overrated current player is Meyer. I know he does many things very well with the ball but his lack of physicality and workrate in defence gives us problems without the ball.

Puncheon ruined Puncheon.

Also It was Pardew's decision to immediately put Cabaye on free kicks even though Punch had scored some blinders in the previous season, against Man City for example.

Puncheon and Pardew ruined Puncheon.

Puncheon was masterful when he ruined Steven Gerrard’s farewell party and that performance alone was far far better than anything Cabaye ever did in my eyes.
Pardew also ruined our attack and whilst doing so ruined the career of Glen Murray to the extent of him having to join Reading.

Pardew only ruined himself ..with his outscoring philosophy.

Meyer makes things happen in the opponents half. With our lack of creative midfield talent he should start all home games.

He was too forceful in many of his tackles and spent too much time focusing on the players around him .. slow, ponderous and crap at set pieces.

So you’re saying we should’ve kept Stuart O’Keefe? :0)

The acid test of Cabaye’s ability was how poor we were in midfield without him. He was never flashy, but you definitely knew when he wasn’t there. He was great at breaking up play, holding the ball and playing an intelligent pass out of defence. Pace was not an issue although I would agree about his set pieces. All in all he was a very good player and one we miss.

Very surprised Meyer came off and Jeff stayed on the pitch on Saturday. His passing was absolutely awful and positioning wasn't great. Still has a lot of pace and is good getting forward. I'd love to see him in LB instead of PVA. Our midfield needs to be Macca, Luka, and Kouyate. Good for scoring a few goals but the midfield needed to be better on Saturday.

haha.

Schlupp looks just terrible sometimes. Clumsy, falling over himself, charging around out of position.

He won player of the month recently though dont forget, and has been playing better.

Taking Meyer off instead of Schlupp was just another step in the great Max Meyer stitch up that Roy is working on.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

To be honest I wouldn't miss either of them. I would rather Roy stayed than Schlupp and Meyer.

You lot are so fickle. A few weeks ago Jeffery was quite rightly being lauded for his performances.

Jeff brings some much needed speed and directness to the party. We are too slow and ponderous coming forward at home. We allow teams time to regroup as we pass the ball from side to side and struggle to thread balls through the eye of a needle.

In the meantime I notice the people slagging off Roy for not starting Meyer have gone quiet of late.
