I wasn't going to comment on all this nonsense that's been going on,but I do read the BBS and post on it occasionally ( I like giving s*** to the weed fans on the away fans thread).
I had a look on the thread about the HOL,and wow some serious back stabbing occuring,I had to check the date and make sure it wasn't the 15th of march.

Gusset has just mentioned that certain posters are on there,and he says hello Elgrande.

Now I am not particularly bothered,but I reply saying I have no intention of engaging with you at all,and I hope you are not accusing me of being racist of having anything to do with you getting banned.
And he does his usual trick....oh not going to engage I thought..now in the context of things it's nothing..but f***ing hell I'm glad he's banned..w***er wind up merchant.

He's gone. Rejoice and move on.

I'm aware that the petty squabbling between Left and Right on here had become very tedious. I do think that Nick was 75% responsible for most of it but I'm not going to play the victim here. It takes more than one to argue. That said, sometimes one feels a sense duty to oppose views that you find counterproductive to the future of the country.
Even so, I am going to make a conscious effort to refrain from squabbling for a while. It's very tedious and for anyone who wishes to engage in name calling with me, I have one message. Save your energy. I'm not playing.
Some of us on here need to lighten up.

Hi Gordon,

I'm good thanks. Got a new job that keeps me busy but it's good.

There seemed to have been an incredible amount of thread deleting going on. When someone used to flounce it could turn gold - IMO it's sometimes better to leave a thread to see which way it's going to go.
Even if they're HOL-Bashing or Mod-Bashing you can at least see what the general feeling is.

By deleting threads that were asking an honest question - such as what happened to Jamie it creates a sense of ill-will. People like to be kept informed and if you don't they get suspicious - it's human nature.

At one stage the threads were being deleted 5 minutes after they started - which just compounds the problem.

Far better to come out and say what happened or let Jamie have his final goodbye. As someone else said it's like when referees explain their decision - you may not like it but at least you don't feel paranoid or suspicious.

There now exists a mood on the HOL that it's Midlands Eagle who is going round deleting threads and has gone power crazy. That may or may not be the case but when good people like Moose feel the HOL is a shambles then something has gone wrong.

The HOL will survive, of course - it's a great site - but a little interaction and explanation will go a long way. And give the flouncers their stage - who knows it may turn out to be a funny thread.

I agree it was about time Gusset went and I'd have carded Willo years ago - but these are my opinions and you must do what you think is best.

Sorry to bang on - but I don't want to see the great HOL deserted.
