So he's having a very bad season so instead of constantly putting the boot in, why not make him feel great when he's on the pitch it seems to have worked for Sako it was great to hear his name shouted when he came on, he changed the game, only a few games ago was fat lumbering sh**e ball according to some on this site so just maybe it might have the same effect on Benteke. Who knows!

So Benteke's not playing tonight. Good, maybe Sako will get more time. The defeners score more goals than Benteke anyway. What's happening with Souare? he was so good before his accident, is he still not fit enough. As for Wickham, what is his problem? all we hear is (Knee) Hasn't played since lord knows when but I would prefer to see him than Benteke. C'mon you Eagles. Go dive bomb the Seagulls.

oi Benteke, the next time you score you can cover your eyes ( instead of putting your fingers in your ears )......to indicate that you are not reading all the criticism on here.

Edited by PalazioVecchio (13 Jan 2018 1.21pm) I'm one of his biggest critics however I thought he played well today in every area of his game except for hitting the back of the net. That needs to be resolved unless of course he knocks down 25 assists the rest of this season to Sako and Zaha in which case I am happy for him to play in a supporting role.

I thought he put in far more effort today than I have seen him do for a while. I have a feeling if he gets one goal he'll go on a spree of scoring. He is getting in the right positions which is a good sign.
