Thanks CrazyBadger, appreciate the reply. I thought I'd put some ideas out there as it is annoying seeing so many people call for Roy's head but not state who would do better (I include myself in that lol). The one thing on Thomas Frank is that is he a good manager but do we actually like him, or the model that Brentford have in place ? I doubt he is in charge of recruitment as they have their own consistent policy. Certainly an interesting one, but we don't fit the model he currently coaches IMO.

A bit tounge in cheek - Persuade Roy & Ray to stay on as defensive coaches & get someone else in as the attacking coach - the hard part then would be the gap in the middle as one set of coaches would want defensive midfielders whereas the other would want attacking midfielders - maybe there's a compromise in there somewhere.......

I think though that it shows that in actual fact there are very few managers who suit us. We either go for someone like Dyche - who with our current set up is going to someply be a younger version Of RH. so I cannot see the point. Or we go for someone with fresh ideas - The board will need to put change their ways and Back them, and have the courage of their convictions..as there may well be a transition period, where we are not only a bit sh*t but may lose some games too.

Didn't we try that with FDB?

I've no idea if he has any managerial ambitions, but if you want a young manager with a winning mentality and a track record playing for top managers at a top club, then how about Gary Cahill ?

John Terry will be given a chance soon, but would we be that bold? It's a huge risk.

I would think whoever comes in to replace Roy, whenever that may be, would want some strong assurances regarding investment and our Mickey Mouse approach wont have been lost on many. With regard to Howe, Bournemouth were utter sh1te when we played them last season and IIRC managed one decent shot on target against us over two games despite us playing most of the first with ten men.
