"Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been criticised for saying a Palestinian leader persuaded the Nazis to carry out the Holocaust. Mr Netanyahu insisted Adolf Hitler had only wanted to expel Jews from Europe, but that Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini told him: "Burn them." However, the chief historian at Israel's memorial to the Holocaust said this account was factually incorrect. Israel's opposition leader called it "a dangerous historical distortion". From today.
So, whose side are you on now peering over the moral parapet? The lovely Israeli PM who has just tried to mitigate Hitler's responsibility for the Holocaust or the Palestinian leader who condones his own people spilling their blood? I see you remained silent about what those other Israeli politicians and influential people said in my earlier post. A 'no comment' stance is probably best given the evidence and your initial postings on this thread, so understand your difficult position on that one. Palestinians should get rid of their leaders and appoint some people who actually care about them and are not just interested in accruing foreign aid money through slaughter. The Israeli government should stop pandering to the worst excesses of its coalition partners paranoia and work with the outside World on a viable two state system. Is that enough for you? Maybe Israel could stop murdering people and stealing their land?
