We just need the same result in the football in the new year! Prince William was being honest. He was supporting the land if our fathers! Wasn't that a deliberate kick in the head?!? Bet that Welsh guy had a fractured skull. As for all the injuries; look at the bloody sport. It is so dangerous. How it is the 'sport of middle classes' I have no idea.

Great game but I am afraid it showed how over hyped England are. On this display they will have to come up with a very big performance to beat Australia.

There is always a temptation to sit back a bit. Wales deserved the win though, credit to them. I just hope we get our act together against Australia. It's make or break.

Bizarre decision not to take a penalty at the end and draw the game. England gifted all the points to Wales.

Yes, the try we scored was the first time in rugby history that it was an own try like an own goal just with a different shaped ball. All penalties can be construed as gifts to the other side.

Very unlucky England. The match could have gone either way. I really hope that you make it through although knowing us we'll lose to the Aussies and Fiji.
Gutted, but all is not lost for England yet!

Beyond the massive respect for Wales -- and I take nothing away from them at all --, England are brain-dead. Bomber's team selection defied belief. Quite apart from throwing away four years of preparation overnight because he s*** the bed the week before his biggest match, what kind of idiot picks a 10/12/13 who have absolutely no creativity whatsoever? What has been the point of the last four years? Where are the players like Burrell who have repeatedly delivered in big matches? Two years ago we smashed the All Blacks at Twickenham playing a dynamic, open, fast rugby. I say again, Bomber brought us to the Promised Land, then bottled it at the border. The selection of Burgess. He didn't have a bad (or good) game last night. He made his tackles, kicked poorly a couple of times and got over the gain line once or twice. MEH. But seriously, what kind of idiot picks a flanker (who's never played Union before this year) at 12? Robshaw's decision not to kick the penality (and blaming his kickers' claiming the penalty was too difficult) is risible. Quite apart from giving away stupid penalties all night, a captain could hardly made a bigger bodge of the biggest game of his career. OK, it was a tough kick. But had England missed it they would still have got the ball back from the 22 drop in an attacking position with two minutes left. In international rugby, you ALWAYS play the percentages. Parling is simply a f***ing idiot. Throwing to 2 was mind-numbingly stupid and the risk entailed is exactly what happened (bundled into touch). In that situation, you ALWAYS throw to the middle of the lineout. If you don't trust your lineout, why kick to the corner in the first place? Taking off Burgess (and this is coming from me, after all I've written) was moronic. When Ford came on, Barritt should have gone. What little offensive ability England had in midfield was removed. Oh, and why was Henry Slade even selected for the squad? Wrigglesworth. I mean what the f*** is he doing at the World Cup? Slow to the breakdown, endless slow, looping passes, zero creativity...shall I go on? England's demise started when Ben Youngs came off. Is Wrigglesworth really playing in the same tournament as Aaron Smith, and we seriously think we have a winning selection at 9? Last night, from an England perspective, was embarrassing. Wales were FANTASTIC, but make no mistake we beat ourselves. We're not out of the World Cup yet, but serious changes are needed. Edited by sydtheeagle (27 Sep 2015 10.18am)

We could have easily missed the penalty and still lost. The decision to send the line out to the second man was a worse one. It was far too easy for Wales to defend against.
