Yes not wrong.
btw the Israeli gov are, apparently, already stealing gas supplies from Gazan waters.
Stealing from waters? What legal rights does a city like Gaza have in terms of offshore? It isn't a state.

Signed up? Was of the opinion that perhaps. I was wrong (for now) about Israel staying in Gaza, however, I didn't know that they are already taking the gas from Gazan waters, so I was also right. What's most disappointing is that you - a fellow teacher - didn't pick me up on my misspelt 'their'.

Israel started this latest round and all they have done is increase world support for a Palestinian state and isolated themselves even more. We don't know the details of the agreement yet but it seems Israel has had to accept that it cannot keep the border points closed and it looks like they may well have to accept that Gaza will have some sort of sea port and an airfield (something that they agreed before and then went back on). It looks like Palestine has won this battle despite (or perhaps because of) the wicked killing of basically defenceless people by Israel. Someone once said that it is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees. Think what you would do if our part of England was controlled by a foreign force that would not let us come and go as we pleased to other parts of England, and decided what we could and couldn't import and export. Surely we would fight back with whatever weapons we could get hold of. That is all the Palestinians have been doing after an occupation lasting 47 years.

Thousands are dead. The only difference is that Hamas have had their military capabilities weakened significantly, which was arguably why Israel responded so intensely to Hamas' provocation.

This is a clear victory for Hamas and the Palestinian people. The Israeli war machine has been faced down and sent back with its tail between it's legs. Hamas remains intact and will continue to defend themselves. No peace without justice.

Survival isn't really victory mate.....It's errrr....survival. I'm very critical of Likud and this action in Gaza but as you are blowing hot air about Hamss I'm basically going to put to you that Hamas achieve nothing for Gaza but pain and poverty. They play into Likud's hands and like Likud they are invested in keeping the current dynamic going....All they have to offer is extremism. The IDF basically flattened the borderlands of Gaza alongside Israel and destroyed tunnels where they found them. That was their intention and after they finished they left......Of course Hamas will always have the deluded around to spin nonsense......Hundreds dead and thousands without homes and businesses....Some victory.....How about I come along with a bulldozer and flatten your home mate. You can stay in your neighbour's house and throw rocks at the bulldozer....When I'm gone you can declare victory. Hamas can't be beaten because they hide amongst civilians...Suspended democracy, manipulate media and journalists and a terrible human rights record....They aren't IS but they aren't much better in my view.

And just when things are relatively calm the Israeli gov decide to steal more Palestinian land in the West Bank. They don't miss a criminal opportunity that Likud lot, do they? Gangsters dressed up as politicians.

In other threads, some have said those leaving our shores to fight for IS shouldn't be allowed back. Do the same people feel the same applies in this case?
