Couple of things we learned today, we might actually have something close to a competitive team and Lanzo is secretly in love with Big Ben, probably a BBC fetish. Who’d of thought?

Reasons i hate Benteke, Lazy, No anticipation, no skill, lack of movement, bad control, awful attitude, little ability, no pace, Personality of a sea slug, 60m wasted, he is complete S***e

Total rubbish. (Your post I mean, not benteke). The whole revival started after he chased down and blocked that clearance.

Rather you rested your mouth, tbh. The non stop nonsense that comes out of it paints you as an idiot.

Drawing from a losing position away is an encouraging sign. Losing away at Chelsea and drawing two is OK with a new manger/style/players.
With another signing possible and Eze to return there is a little less concern than usual. Maybe.

The result ended up not being to bad but we are so disorganized.

West ham was not 100% on it today and it ended up being about some of the Palace players wanted it more.

Tomkins needs to be put back in at the back the current two are all over the place we need an experienced head in their.

Wilf needs to be dropped.

We need another winger and wing back badly.

I don't know how they ever expect Benteke to score still not putting in the balls and by the time some players try it's way too late need to be quick.

Was an interesting game today.

Whilst not an easy watch, the first half showed that we’ve still got some of the battling qualities Roy instilled. I don’t think we were terrible, but West Ham were just playing at an intensity that we couldn’t really combat. In those situations, we just don’t seam to have an outlet to relieve the pressure….clearances are half heartedly chased, Benteke cant hold the ball up, Wilf never gets on the shoulder for a ball over the top.

2nd half was a different story, we massively upped our intensity and started to put some real pressure on them. Jimmy Mac and Connor looked great in the middle, and were pivotal in getting control. Kouyate wasn’t great, but having a holding midfielder allowed CG to play more as a 10. It will be interesting to see what happens when Luka and Hughes are fit. Luca, Hughes and CG, or Macca, Hughes and CG?

Regardless of who else we bring in, play more like we did in the 2nd half and we’ll be fine this season. But stick a Danny Ings in that team and we’d be tasty. I really hope they are working on something.

I know it’s only a game, but Connor could turn out to be pretty special for us. Will be interesting to see how Wilf deals with not being the golden boy any more!

No to Tomkins. We have 2 excellent, but new CBs. They are the future, we just need to have a little patience.

Plus Andersons range of passing is outstanding. Real quality signing

Except he can.

And yes agree, an abundance of riches in midfield now. Still think Luka is important player for us. Would pair with CG and Macca for now then Eze when fit.

Signs indicate things are steadily starting to click into place. 2 points from 3 games isn't the worst case scenario and the team had the guts and drive to come back from behind twice. West Ham are a tough team under Moyes too so that'll be a confidence boost. Which will be needed given two tough games against Spurs and Liverpool before the big game against Brighton. But Spurs and Liverpool are games we're expected to lose so pressure could be off in those games.
