Thoughts. - First defeat in a long time that I've felt positive rather than thinking we are a boring load of s***e.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

The better team won if a little fortunately. The difference in class was clear and it definitely was a penalty. 100 per cent for effort for Palace but we need a creative midfielder - Rodrigues showed how much it would help us. Eze very promising, he has the skills and the confidence. Just needs to gel with a settled forward line. We can be optimistic for the future.

Unlucky today. But still not scoring enough goals. Need another striker or midfielder with real skill . Hate losing to them. Hodgson too happy at the end. Also commentators right that they would win. Hate that too. Ancholotti has won 15 titles? Wow ...

Another really encouraging display. I’d much rather lose playing like that than sit through a dull 90 mins with three grafting central midfielders on the pitch. The penalty was ridiculous and another example of why VAR is killing football but let’s focus on the positives... Here are the ratings: Guiata 6, Ward 3, Mitchell 5, Kouyate 7, Sakho 8, Townsend 7, McCarthy 6, McArthur 6, Eze 8, Zaha 7, Ayew 6.

Unlucky, can't blame the ref, that's the interpretation they've been told to apply, even though it's BS. Unfortunately it's cost us. Eze looked good, why he was taken off is a mystery, we lost direction after his subbing. Defense will be tighter once Cahill, Dann and Tomkins return but Kouyate doing a fine job filling in at the back.

All this Everton love-in is annoying. The handball was jus a stupid decision - nobody knows if a penalty is a penalty anymore. Everything is checked and then it’s like it’s 50/50 if you get it or not the Calvert Lewin one was a penalty as well! ( I think)

That's an odd reading of the game. Ward absolutely not at fault for that. Was a good game, and we were definitely worth a point. Mistake to take Eze off, and Zaha was off the boil. Its a tongue in cheek summary cursing our luck but genuine dig at Ward. Might be a bit harsh but I’ve never seen someone so uncomfortable with the ball at their feet and does have a calamity presence about him in recent seasons
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Ignore the Everton media willy waving, we'll be just fine. But we didn't lose did we, they were not going to score when the ball randomly hit Ward were they lol and everyone who follows football knows it, that was a fair score draw and nobody deserved to win it yet as you say Everton will be wanked over like crazy as the greatest thing since flipping sliced bread and our performance will be tossed into the bin all because VAR said so..hate football at times.

It’s going to destroy the game.

TBH we had that go our way against Man U. No one complained about these decisions then. Lindelof’s hand was raised, awards was down and in fact I think he was trying to get his arm out of the way. Richarlison would have been offside. Apparently Antony Taylor advised Friend Wards arm was in an unnatural position. Really! Where the f*** is he meant to put it?

Shout out to Eni Aluko for being the only pundit to bring up the DCL handball, as he clearly leaned into the ball.
