Riedwald does seem very sluggish but he deserves nothing but praise for the way he has stepped in at LB. He is still only 23 so lots of time on his side.

Wilf wasn't super-sharp, but Arsenal threw a handful of defenders at him, knowing we don't present a threat in the middle. We should petition to let Luka come in only for set pieces -- terrible deliveries today. Guaita continues to be Man of the Season.

Riedewald has played so little football over the last few years, and looked well overweight at several points, so it'll take time for him to get fully up to standard. However, he's looking better and better both on the ball and in defense, and given how much of a liability PVA is, I don't think it'll take long for Riedewald to overtake him in the pecking order.

Riedewald got BBC's MOTM. What with him now settled, and Guaita with another amazing save these are two to hold onto at all costs.

I thought Riedewald was the best Palace player. Amazing he has had so little game time. Confident on the ball, especially going forward, and a very good left foot. Looks a real player IN my eyes.

Best technique to strike a ball. Except for Zaha and Ayew he has the best brain and vision. Best forward thought process. Best give and go attempts. Just strange how he wouldn’t have shown this in training or given Roy the confidence he can do it over 90 mins before we were hit with these injuries. Fingers crossed he keep this form up as I love watching him play it’s a pleasure

If they perform in training they then become favourites and will be first on the team sheet every week. Roy is a system manager and if you fit, you fit, if you don’t you don’t. He takes some persuading to go off piste.

Once everyone is fit, I’d like to see him and Meyer given a run in center midfield together with one of Luka/Jimmy Mac. I think we’d look a different team with some quality in the middle of the park. I still prefer PVA at LB though.

Jairo rapidly turning into a top performer. Is it just me, but I cannot remember the last time Wilf had a decent game against a top 6 side, obviously excusing the fact that Arsenal were once a top 6 side, but now look so far from it, it is hard to believe. Top tip from me - the Gooners will turn on Arteta before the end of the season. He most certainly is not the answer - 7 or 8 new players might stand them in better stead.
