We really are still suffering from not having a midfield playmaker. I had hoped Meyer was going to replace Cabaye but he's not tenacious enough - although they're the same size. And Roy wont build the team around him.

That said, in a strange way, I thought we were in the game on Saturday but the attacking play was limited. Perhaps that is because they're a stronger team than - say West Ham.

Roy made a tactical error playing Jimmy Mac wide right and not Wilf. I dont think Wilf is getting those through balls that he used to get.

JM is our midfield dynamo and without him central we lack drive. That said I disagree with the view that Luka played badly (although his set-piece deliveries were terrible.

I agree with the assessments of Schlupp, who should have been hooked at half-time.

Ayew was average and I can understand why he got subbed.

Perhaps what might have entered his mind is that by playing Zaha there it would limit Ricardo from breaking forward. He has played as an out-and-out winger and as we know is a very attacking right-back for Leicester and causes problems for opposing teams down that flank.

I’m not sure we learned anything new from the game.
We know that Schlupp is not a central midfield player, that we are quite good from a defensive and organisational standpoint and that we carry little threat going forward.
Because of our limited threat in open play, a big bugbear of mine is that we don’t seek to capitalise on our set pieces.
I’m fed up of witnessing PVA and Luka chipping the ball for the opposing keeper to catch the ball and launch counter attacks.
Leicester yesterday hit corners to the near post, far post , used dummy runs and cut backs.
Lots of variety and threat.
Our corners and set pieces have no variety and are so easy to read.
For a coach of Hodgson’s renown this is a surprise, in particular since we lack threat from open play and set pieces should be a big part of our armoury.

I was also surprised McCarthur started wide right yesterday, just to accommodate Schlupp? In the match at Arsenal he played the first half in that position and it wasn’t until the second half where he was switched back to his normal position that we looked so much better / balanced. Not sure why Hodgson keeps doing this? We lost against a better side but weren’t helped by 3 of our players (Schlupp, Zaha and PVA) having a very poor game for us. Needs all 11 against top 8 sides playing at the top of their game for us?

We know that Schlupp is not a football player full stop.

Leicester are a decent side but I thought we were poor yesterday.

Why are we paying Max Meyer such high wages
Why did we sign Camarassa
Why is Conor Wickham taking a squad place
What has happened to Benteke
Who was responsible for Sloth
Is PVA really a defender

More questions than answers

This paints a grim picture and I am fairly certain that these are questions raised by many of our supporters.
In terms of Camarasa, I suspect he is asking the question "Why on earth did I come here" ?

Before the season stated I believe I mentioned on HOL, and definitely outside HOL, that this would be another season of struggle with entertainment at a premium and this is how the season is shaping up.Lack of creativity, lack of goals and a hard watch.I believe many, many supporters do not look forward to a visit to Selhurst Park.

I'd love Sorloth back for half a season. He's done well in Turkey and we've seen in Ayew what a difference confidence males

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Id happily never see any player on that list ever again and as for J Schlupp, I wish he would just vanish into thin air.

Remind me when you've seen Camarasa.

Was away so unable to go.
Highlights don't show much to be fair.
We are however uninventive going forward.
We do not have a proper centre forward - Ayew is not the answer - just a bench warmer however hard he works.
McArthur, Kouyate and Luka all too similar.
Add silly errors in and so we will have our moments but will start to descend rather than go the other way.
Jamie Vardy has scored as many goals as our whole team which says it all.
Benteke and Wickham getting new contracts is criminal and with Ayew at best being a single figure striker we do have a real problem now in that department.
Roy is cautious but without a forward what more can be do.
We also need to replace Ward, PVA, Schlupp plus a striker - £100m perhaps and that is never going to happen!

I think the above is avery fair assessment of where we are, Roy can only do his best with the limited ability players that we have (with 1 or 2 exceptions). Parish has been fully aware of our shortcoming and lack of a decent striker for sometime now but continues to bury his head in the sand. We have a very tough run in at the end of the season and we are still only 7 points above the drop zone, that 7 points will soon disappear if we cannot find a solution to our lack of creativity in midfield and a proven goal scorer. When Benteke comes on its like playing with 10 men, hopefully some fool will buy him in January!

Will Sakho EVER play again.....130k a week for sitting on his arse.....good business? Add that to the 130k benteke (no goal striker) and 60k Wickham (even worse value than Benteke, if thats possible...will he ever play again for us?)
