Strictly speaking if one buys shares the money goes to the shareholder that one bought the shares off so some of the cash will have gone to the existing shareholders. Additionally a substantial number of new shares were issued by the company (club) and the funds received for them would have gone into the company. The problem is that in the beginning there was just CPFC 2010 Ltd but once the Americans bought in several more companies were set up including Palace Midco UK Ltd and Palace Holdco UK Ltd with the ultimate ownership being hidden in Delaware. Funds were transferred around between the three companies and really only those in the know would be aware of exactly what funds were received and where they went as to the rest of us it just looks like smoke and mirrors

Most club ultimate ownership is filtered via a number of companies.

Facts are we need a new owner who is prepared to invest money into the club. Even with all the TV money each year we are still coming up way short. As I see it unless we get a decent owner prepared to put money in we will definitely stagnate. Want to make it clear SP and co have done a good job to date but it seems more cash is required.

It could be a good thing like Man City or it could be Portsmouth / Birmingham debacle. As others have posted we already have 2 billionaires on our board and they haven't done anything bad or good in my opinion for the club. Edited by Badger11 (17 Jun 2019 3.09pm)
