MotD highlighted his closing down of Man City players which allowed us to implement Roy’s plan, So, maybe not as lazy as some are suggesting. And this is what Roy had to say after the Watford win.
“But he still did something quite incredible in the last minute, chasing a ball down back to Gomes and forcing him into a poor kick out of play, which effectively killed the game for us,” said the manager. “When you’re a coach, those little moments mean a lot. It gives you a bit of pleasure.”

Exactly, more to his game than the goal drought, roy knows it, thats why he starts when hes fit!

I'd like to see us offering to extend Benteke's contract. If he doesn't take the terms offered, we should go all out to flog him.

Regardless of what people think of him (I think he's a good player who'll prove it emphatically) the reality is that our huge investment will start to depreciate rapidly if we don't tie him in.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Bentekes in the discussion for worst performers of the season, yet is our record signing and highest earner, also has the worst work ethic out of all our lads.

Benteke - transfer fee - £32million, wages - £120k a week
1 goal

Glenn Murray - transfer fee -£3million, wages - £40k a week
6 goals

Andre Ayew - transfer fee - £20million, wages £120k a week
6 goals

Jermaine Defoe - free, wages - £130k a week
3 goals

Wayne Rooney - £150k a week,
11 goals

Oumar Niasse - £13.5million - £55k a week
6 goals

Charlie Austin - transfer fee - £4million - wages - £55k a week
6 goals

Manolo Gabbiadini - £15million fee - can't find wages
3 goals

Tammy Abraham - Loan - £50k a week
5 goals

Jordan Ayew - can't find fee paid, wages - £25k a week
5 goals

Jay Rodriguez - transfer fee- £12mill - can't find wages
4 goals

Salomon Rondon - fee £12mill - wages - £55k a week
4 goals

All I was saying was if your not scoring goals then you need to be putting a shift in, we can't afford to carry a player like Roy said earlier this month.

After seeing Morata's performance yesterday I think Benteke comes away quite well!

There you go . Roy has said we can't afford to carry players not putting in a shift .
Roy is playing him , why don't you go with Roy's judgement ?

Benteke is actually a very smart striker and has an incredible off the ball presence and ability to draw defenders creating space for other players. - discuss

Great just would be lovely if he finds his scoring boots again.

Hopefully just a confidence thing that will click back in place.

In the meantime we need a clinical finish to play alongside him...

Agree. I think he has contributed well to the recent good run. Football is a team game.

Against WBA, Andy Carroll broke a run of 14 (was it?) games without scoring.

Would love to see him score more often. Perfectly happy for him to keep popping up with assists though.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.
