I am willing to admit I may be in the minority about this, and maybe I'm being uptight... but I think reading someone's private mail is a horrible thing to do... regardless if it is in a envelope or not. I wouldn't read anyone's mail... even if I were in a long-term relationship. If it was just open on the table in full view then I can understand one taking a momentary 'Peek', but to remove documents from an envelope is reprehensible. I don't even open letters that come through the post addressed to my wife and we have been married for nearly 31 years.

The bank statement was in an envelope and she opened the envelope took it out, looked and put it back.. That's out of order. Still can't believe she actually admitted it. I thought it was out on the side in full view and she took a look Exactly, first of all it was just left on the table and now it was in an envelope.

To pick up and read someone else's mail seems reprehensible to me... regardless if it was in a opened envelope or not. I'm willing to accept i'm in a minority.
