So true. I can't imagine anyone other than the BBC making this programme. I have to say, although I won't watch their news, I do watch The Fairy Bikers, Portillo on a train, the odd antiques programmes and Eggheads. So if there was a streaming service, I guess I would pay for it. I find these programmes are timeless, relaxing and remind me of an England I used to know. I also prefer BBC coverage of sports, which although rare these days, seems less sensationalist than Sky etc.

The impartial BBC funds a series exploring 'whiteness'. Most people who are funding this would find this utterly objectionable.....Yet here we are. No, this isn't a joke this is actually happening. [Tweet Link] I saw adverts for this. No doubt some female minority presenter can eventually berate white people for their wicked ways. Slavery, war, capitalism yada, yada, Israel, Empire, Africa, Slavery, yada, yada.

I do watch The Fairy Bikers, I don't really like their cookery programmes but I have several of their cookery books as their recipes all tend to work well. On the other hand I love watching Rick Stein as he can make me hungry with his words but unlike the Bikers his recipes never tend to work

I have just read the worst piece of journalism for a long time on the BBC website:- Delay in treating disabled boy's toothache 'indefensible' Delays in treating a severely disabled boy thought to have had toothache for five months were "little short of an outrage", a judge has said. The autistic boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, could not say he had toothache and started banging his head against walls due to the pain. Mr Justice Hayden said the handling of the boy's case by Cardiff and Vale health board was "indefensible". The hearing took place on Friday at the Court of Protection in London, where issues relating to people who may lack the mental capacity to make decisions are considered. Concussion fears Mr Justice Hayden said the teenage boy's head banging had started in October. His parents, one of whom is a mental health nurse, thought his behaviour was a response to toothache. In November they had taken him to an accident and emergency department because thought he had concussion. He said treatment was now planned but could not take place until early March. Mr Justice Hayden, who is based in the Family Division of the High Court, said anyone who had suffered toothache would think waiting from now until early March for treatment was an "eternity". The judge suggested that the head banging could have caused a severe injury and led to the boy's death. He said the situation was "lamentable". You have to read right to the end of the article before finding out that the boy had died which is absolutely shocking jounalism It's poorly written because the last statement is ambiguous like Midland I took it that the judge said the boy has died however it could be read the other way. I was always taught to make your point up front and then use the rest of your article to support that e.g. Judge says autistic boy's death may be due to head banging. Or NHS fails to protect.....

I am not a fish lover so had not been there before. It was awful. The fish didn't appear to be fresh. The portions were tiny. The recipes appeared "creative" but were more word soup than anything on the tongue. And worst of all it was stupidly expensive.

Stop behaving like a dick for once in your life. The point that I was making that anyone with an IQ higher than single figures would understand is that you had to read right to the end of the article to find out that the boy had died. Secondly Mr ******** I think you would be hard pushed to find any post of mine accusing the BBC of political bias but the truth has always been less important to you than behaving like a ********* You are the one being the "dick" because you have doubled down on your error. The point being that the boy didn't die. The Judge merely pointed out that COULD have been the consequences. Not that it was. Read it again! If you still don't get it I think you will then need to reflect on questioning IQs.

From another source the boy is alive however I still agree with Midland poorly written article or is that poorly edited as the one below appears to be very similar but more detailed.
