I really like Eze. He had 2 real stand out moments last season , both against relegated Sheffield United, drifts in and out of games. . Gallagher has done it against the top teams already, think he was off the pace in one game. I’d like to keep both, but currently I think Gallaghers more important to what we need. If he’s injured there isn’t a decent replacement. Eze will need to work his way back in the team. Lets just remember that Eze was playing in a completely different Palace team last year. Both those goals you mentioned Eze carried the ball from about the half way line. In this seasons team he would be picking up the ball in much more dangerous positions. Just because we love Connor, lets not forget that this guy is the real deal. Remember he even got a call up the the Euro squad.

Gallagher is a great asset for a team playing a high pressing game. To compare him with Eze is apples and oranges though as they're completely different types of players. I'd love to keep Gallagher, but not at the expense of Eze. He was so good at the end of the season he would have made the preliminary Euro squad were it not for injury. The way he glides around the pitch is a thing of beauty. The big question will be how Vieira integrates him into the team and whether you could play a midfield five like this? It could mean Gallagher having a bit more defensive responsibility, but he has the legs to cover the entire pitch. Olise Eze Zaha Edouard

I can see him breaking into the Chelsea team next season I would be surprised if they sell him. If they did bigger clubs than Palace will be after him I would imagine Newcastle would happily throw money at Chelsea. However will Chelsea want to improve a rival's team. I doubt they care about Palace but Newcastle in the next 2/3 years will be a threat? So let's hope Chelsea prefer to sell him to little old Palace.

Could turn into the new Lampard for them.

He reminds me of a young Bryan Robson, more than capable of doing what Pogba is supposed to do and more. The lad is destined for a far greater stage and at current form I reckon if Chelsea do sell there will be a major bidding war amongst the richest clubs. Lets just enjoy the moment.

Could do with Chelsea making a massive midfield signing in January or Gallagher going off the boil for us from March-May. Really want him in our team next year! I don't even think it'll be a funds issue, we are pretty set in all positions so could go all out just for Gallagher, say at 35-40 million and afford to not upgrade any other positions. I just think Chelsea won't want to sell and he'll want to ply his trade there. If we carry on performing and start turning silly draws into wins though and qualify for Europa, we may be able to tempt him!

He is enjoying being a first team player and i think that may be the crucial point. RLC had a good game last night after he settled, and Gtlmore is a full international plus the current Chelsea first team players in his position. If he looks at this he will almostly certainly be a bench player at Chelsea. I think he will want to reject this and move. Chelsea have 2 choices keep an unhappy player (or loan him out) or sell. I think he is enjoying his time with us so I think player will be happy to come even if financial offer at other clubs may be more. The Viera factor may also help learning from a master in his position. I am not a betting man but I think chelsea will be tempted with an offer of an offer of £25-£30 million where they have a buy back clause for 2 years at around £60 million or a sell on clause

I agree we should make him our number one priority in the next summer window and if necessary sink all our funds into recruiting him. However, there will be competition and it could easily cost £40-50 million. But it would be worth every penny!

Just noticed he's from Epsom. He and I may have been born in the same hospital - why does he not dream of playing for Palace!? I really hope our academy develops the stature where we are the ones owning all these players. They shouldn't be at Cheslea or Arsenal, they should be here. After 4 year of loans, the only hope is that he gets to a stage where he wants a permanent commitment. The best case scenario is that he returns to Chelsea, gives them a year, but finds game time limited and decides he'd prefer to be the main man with us. RLC had a similar loan experience, but he's just never been able to kick on at Chelsea. He gets enough games to gain false hope, but he's never really been near the England squad since. Maybe he's happy to be a back-up player in a team that wins stuff. Gallagher could play for a Palace, probably never win anything, but get to latter stages of international tournaments with hundreds of top flight games to his name. There's not really a right or wrong approach. It's their career and I'm sure they know what they're doing. But in the case of RLC, it drifts quickly and there is always a new prospect coming through looking to steal your game time.

This fella is great. Not sure if he’s technically a lot better than anyone else, he just puts in a lot more effort. He’s like a non league player, on trial at a pro club, not wanting to go back to the building site.
