Labour is a political Newcastle United, living entirely on past glories. Incompetent, self serving party, carrying a load of throwbacks to a bygone age with a smattering of very competent politicians in their ranks. Always demanding independent enquires thinking that will solve everything. There is no celebration of the left, we could applaud incompetence. Labour the party who gave us austerity through a complete fiasco of government through Blair and Brown, bleated about austerity for 10 years, ignored their members when they voted Brexit, because Labour knew best and got annihilated in a general election giving Boris and his chums a fourth term in office. They may have been the party of the people once upon a time, not anymore. They're all out for themselves, just all cowering under the labour umbrella trying to avoid the next storm

The CONservatives nicking the £10 billion ppe money, in to their pals, donors, own accounts must have slipped your mind, but thats just "business" i guess!Labour are nearly as bad as these CONS i have to agree, but have a few more good people in there ranks, than the CONS, who have a few to, just not as many and the greedy have pushed the boundries beyond belief!

That doesn't mean we will be correct as events do happen independently of course but basic infiltration of all groups by different interests regardless of politics has been a reality for centuries. Who knows what the underlying truths are but those stars sure aligned regardless. But if basically the outcoming result ends in the further removal of basic freedoms but with larger public support then some level of underhand tactics or not it's another sad day. Yes, it's always hard to know for sure. There are possibly multiple elements and aspects at play. One that appears to have gone under the radar though is that these terrible 'broke arms', 'punctured lungs' and the like didn't actually happen. Quote
Bristol cops quietly admit no officers suffered broken bones Yesterday, Avon and Somerset police quietly admitted that no officers suffered broken bones during Sunday’s Kill The Bill protest. In a statement posted to their website, the force said: “Thankfully following a full medical assessment of the two officers taken to hospital, neither were found to have suffered confirmed broken bones.” This is quite an admission given that, in the hours following the riot, the force was telling all and sundry that an officer had been rushed to hospital with a punctured lung after being stamped on by a baying mob, claims that were, of course, uncritically repeated by the likes of the Telegraph and the Times. This country is being dragged back to the dark ages. It's utterly shameful but entirely predictable.

What I focus on is the reaction of the Police (LOL-So much for Covid enforcement) and the lack of reaction from the Left (although when there were predominantly Muslim protests against trying to teach young kids about Trans and Gay stuff, the Left did actually seem twitch a little). We have to accept that the attempts to stifle perfectly legitimate debate such as this are aided by the Establishment now. This is a mainstream position. One endorsed by the majority of the Left. To be fair the Department of Education has stood up for the teacher which did surprise a little but effectively a new law of blasphemy that has never been debated in Parliament or put to the vote. Merely imposed.

Polls giving the Tories a 7 point lead in Hartlepool for the forth-coming by-election. Not sure how accurate the methodology is as it is by phone only and I am not sure how accurate that is anymore (I assume, and am happy to be corrected, that this is based on land-line calling and thus no longer truly representative of the populace as a whole) but even so, the fact that this is even close, let alone a Labour deficit, is a shocking state of affairs for an opposition to be in.

The only Labour person of any note that I can see possibly turning this around for them is Andy Burnham. Problem is that he is not a Labour MP. They would need to manufacture a by-election that they can win comfortably to get him into place but he still has to get the votes from within the Labour party membership which is where the Catch 22 for Labour exists. Its membership, as a whole, loathe the electorate that they have to win over to regain the Northen seats they need to challenge the Tories. And they simply lack the intellectual capability of doing that. The Tories can play them all day long.
