Surely one of the things VAR is there for is to look at red card decisions. If they had they would have overruled it.

Ref couldn’t wait to get the yellows out on both occasions. Benteke only ever looked at the ball and it’s physically impossible to jump with your f***ing hands in your pockets

Pathetic refereeing!!! What a f*@&ing joke!!! Where is VAR to overrule that absolutely shocking decision. Have these people never played the game?! Do they not realise how you use your arms as leverage to jump?! You can see for both bookings he only had eyes for the ball, only used his arms as leverage, his timing was spot on and he won the ball cleanly both times. You can’t do that if you are trying to elbow an opponent. Disgraceful decision.

What absolutely shoddy refeeing. Why can't VAR review either of those nothing aerial challenges that Benteke got booked for. Bet West Ham can't believe their luck.

Ref clearly has forgotten the rule. How can a player be fouled when they are charging in behind someone with no realistic prospect of winning the ball.
