Paddy McCarthy is the one. Big gamble but when Freedman and Lawrence walked out for Bolton's money he ran the dressing room and the home match against Brighton we won 3 nil when that clown Holloway was announced manager, McCarthy was running it. He is a good tactician not scared to change tactics and is respected by all players. But any managerial change has to come with sacking Freedman and letting the manager identify players.

That's an interesting synopsis. Possibly some of those criticisms are valid. As a player he won a lot its true and he won a few titles with Ajax. I think the Ajax way is to promote from within. 4 games is nothing though - Eddie Howe's Bournemouth also lost their first 4 that season. FdB also coming to a new country with barely a pre season to work with players and without Zaha in those first 4 league games. You or anybody else who didn't back him have no right to complain now. Parish pushed the panic button - and that is as much to do with fan pressure than any reasoned logic

Indeed they did,however they finished a creditable 9th the previous season,only losing 2 of their last 12 games.

My interpretation of your message was that Howe kept his job despite losing his first 4 games in contrast to FDB.I asserted that Howe had more credit in the bank because of Bournemouth's position the previous season and the way they finished.Perhaps I am way off the mark in this respect!

In the final analysis, no manager loses his job after 4 games on results alone.

Clearly Mr Parish decided that decisive action needed to be taken.

And as we all know that despite losing the first 7 PL games without scoring a single goal, Hodgson steered us to an 11th place position which was some feat in the circumstances.
