Been said many times... A lack of investment in a decent squad will eventually catch up with us. How can a team like Derby make 9 changes and still put a better team on the pitch.

We lack creativity....and I just hope we have more players arriving this week or we are in deep trouble. The team looked very flat today, no smiles, not enjoying their football.

Too many of our players have the finesse of Cheikhou Kouyate with ball control, far too many times they just simply cannot pass to each other or control the ball at their feet, Ayew is the Majority of times very good at running with the ball along with Riedewald who to me looks quite outstanding with his composure and ability to hold onto the ball when under pressure, losing this player really did kill us off. Kouyate is a great player to have he is just not what we need when trying to be intricate lol
Kelly again not quite at the races sadly and why does Milivojevic attempt something that he knows will get him sent off, he is always trying to do silly stupid brain-dead things on and off the flipping ball does my head in.

For me it's just logical.

We don't have a large enough squad for a cup run and that is more than compounded by the injury list.

The rational thing to do would have been to play the youngsters and rest the first team squad.

He must have considered it....but I think the old lad took the wrong turn.

He did seem to suggest that there would be a number of changes after the Norwich game. One things for sure, today's performance with a fairly strong starting line up has shown how ineffective we are in front of goal. In the 2 Cup games at home against lower opposition in 210 mins we have failed to put the ball in the net. Let's hope as rumours suggest we are looking for at least 2 attacking additions.

So Roy the traditionalist respects the FA Cup and puts out a near full strength team whereas most managers with the injury list and the recent punishing fixture list would put in as many youngsters as available. It's backfired badly because of his stubborn ways. Even at 1-0 and man down we still played the same way passing around at the back and hardly moving forward, we never have a plan B. January looks a struggle now and it will be interesting to see how financially committed the owners are in the current transfer window.

That was a pile of absolute cack.

We have a core of about 14 players who are any good and a decent youth set up with little inbetweeners.

We have worked the first team to a level where they are running on empty and now are breaking down. This is poor planning considering we have the rest of the season to go.

We also have not cup tied Wilf so that adds a few £ to the price.

We are now reaping the results of a lack of and poor investment over the years.

As for Luka stupid man and should be stripped of captaincy.

Bring back Wilbs at least he found the goal.

90 minutes of Wickham today showed that we need replacements up front. Service to him wasn’t (never is to anyone) good but he is way too slow and gave away unnecessary fouls. A loan / sale to a championship side would be for the best. Also Kelly now showing how weak he is at right back. Been okay as cover and of course is better in the middle when needed. He’s play going forward on the right is awful and never when in space plays a decent killer ball to the forwards. Need a right back replacement urgently and Ward when fit isn’t the answer. We need players especially in midfield that can break defenders down rather than playing it backwards/sideways nearly all match. Today again, playing against inferior opponents that’s what we did for most of the match. I guess that’s Hodgson’s way but it’s not good to watch. Might need to play that way in next two Matches though but I see trouble ahead if we don’t change the way we are playing and get some new players in?

Awful game.

Roy again shown he is so out of touch.

VAR has shown again how inconsistent it is because of the idiots that are using it hidden many miles away.

Man sent of so he will now be missing as well.

Never understood that starting line up some of the players may of needed some game time but others no way should they have been playing play the youngsters this is getting stupid now.

This has to be Roy being stubborn trying to get a point across about transfers it's the only real reason i can think of also he didn't sign that new contract yet did he?

Final thing he is again trying to play the same way every time give it a rest Roy almost all the player cant pass and this slow build up play doesn't work all the time against big teams yes i understand it but everyone else no its proven its not working he has destroyed the likes of benteke plus out once great counter attacks plus set plays which was a massive strength for us.

If he did that and we lost. A lot of people would still be moaning because they want a cup run. I’m with your opinion. It wasn’t worth taking the risk and no it has back fired big style.

It only back fires as the final whistle blows, we did have two wonderful Ayew moves and distributions for others to ferk up in that last five mins, so only in hindsight can Hodgson be blamed and I agree he will also see that as a mistake I'm sure, Pierrick had promising moments again so not waste of time for him.
