Dont stress yourself about it. Osvaldo said that we made Southampton look great and I said they have been playing very well lately. That and other Palace fans I had spoken to expected us to beat them well. Obviously the question Roy and the players have to ask themselves is: What do we need to do to improve?

Accrington Stanley Luton Town Huddersfield hope it's a blip, burnley and Bournemouth looked dead and buried a couple of weeks ago but have improved - like Bournemouth we've got players coming back so hopefully that will give us a boost - there are ongoing under the radar problems that give a loss of form a permanent look, but it's not quite as grim as some are painting it - I think we'll beat Newcastle, three turgid horrible Stodsgson draws for the next three will do nicely, we can play good football next season not this one, too risky

Three defeats in a row cannot hide in anyway that we are suffering, lack of confidence, lack of form, lack of leadership/ know-how from Roy,who is sleep walking the Club to the Championship. Sheffield won when our lovely keeper dropped a clanger, we actually played well against them because I really thought they would see us off very easily, Southampton utterly did us all over the place but still had to win with two beauties from outside the box! ..that result should really not have been a surprise because they had outplayed Chelsea and Leicester away a few games earlier..it certainly didn't surprise me at all, the Everton game was a surprise because I thought we would get a point at least, their ability with scoring did really really surprise me and that was the only difference between us and them, we had 54% play and we did get forward at every opportunity, it was a case of the final ball syndrome and it killed us completely.

Bournemouth have a nasty run in and are inconsistent, same for Watford too, Brighton are badly struggling and will not want to be playing us at home ..these games will be crucial for our survival, I did have Watford down to beat us at home and still think it will be a very difficult game but due to their recent problems I can now see a sneaky point ..mainly because I hate them more then Brighton lol. Villa are also going to have huge problems with their remaining games because all but three are against very strong sides ..only us, West ham and Newcastle are the games where they will have real hope of achieving maximum points,I will not mention the mess West Ham are in lol and nor will I mention Oldham Athletic

We don't have enough creativity, esp in midfield, to play the expansive football people are hoping for, Roy does err on the side of safety but when our small and unbalanced squad gets injuries the best we can hope for is to stop the other team and nick goals on the counter, we have played some great stuff under Roy, intricate fast passing football, mainly when we had Loftus Cheek in midfield, but he's only prepared to do that once our defensive solidity is established, even that's going now though, but the main problem isn't Roy imho, it's that the players are knackered for the reasons already stated, Jairo and Pierrick could get more of a look in, and blooding AWB was down to another injury crisis not Roy's vision, so the knockers do have some fair points, but he can only play with the cards he's got and it aint a great hand, not with the last two windows

I dont thin Norwich will catch is. Good fortune earlier this season papered over a lot for cracks. Watford appear to be on the ascendancy and we have still got to play them. I'm not confident that a 9 point margin is too much at this point. Shame we played so defensively way against them. Again, Moyes may improve West Ham. The 6 points we gained off them from late goals are looking vital given how many we've wasted. Villa, Bournemouth, and Brighton could all easily start picking up points. If we pick up 3 points against Watford, Villa, Bournemouth and Brighton we'll be fine, but Roy had shown no ambition to try any win game against the weaker teams. Let's see how this weekends results go. If nothing changes the I wouldn't trust him going into the Brighton game. Nothing will change.

Good point you make on the double over West Ham, 6 for us , 0 for them. Next four games similar importance as these teams around us and every point we can get deprives them> Originally posted by jeeagles

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
