I don't believe a word of it. Come the next leadership election in a few years, BJ will walk it; and Gove will be on his ticket as Chancellor. They are playing a long game.

Good shout - do they really want to be associated with post-Brexit chaos, when they can present themselves as the gallant toffs riding to the rescue of Blighty a bit further down the line?

Cameron had the Referendum to resolve a party split. Since the Brexiters won, it is right that the party should reflect that in it's leadership. They clearly didn't want Boris even though he would have been popular with many Tory voters. Gove is the strongest Brexiter but May although weakly Remain could be a better PM. If she pursues the BREXIT ambitions and appoints a BREXITER, possibly Gove, to head a negotiation team, that could work quite well as a compromise.

It's resolved sod all and he promised the referendum to woo potential UKIP voters back to the Tory fold in last year's GE. Boris has done a runner. The coward. And Gove is untrustworthy. Remainer May for PM? Almost certainly. The Brexit camp is a mess and have lead us down an ill-thought out, and looking like more and more, a self-destructive road. Hopefully, someone with a bit of sense with indicate and get off that thoroughfare sharp-ish.
