Loan to buy I thought. And things like that do depend on the terms. Like it or not, we probably would have needed to outbid West Ham. Our investments at that level MUST work, as Tekkers and Sakho proved. From what I saw they went to 22m and gave a relegation clause. Quite high. Not saying no. Dominic Fifield indicated that Hull entered a dialogue with Palace over a loan in order to intitiate a bidding war for the player. But we shouldn’t let that get in the way of all those who think that Roy knocked the player back because he didn’t want him permanently even though he’s the manager and not DOF

Today is the day I join the Roy Out bridage. Yes, I think we'd be fine if he'd been backed in the transfer market, and yes, I think the real issues at the club run far deeper than the manager. But I believe that to stay up this season, we need someone new. Roy's tactics are dreadful and negative; he is completely unable to react to different tactical situations; he can do nothing tactically or motivationally to get our players going. We have no playing identity - we play ultra-negative football while also trying to pass out from the back. The formation and player choices make no sense. There is no balance to the team. This slump will continue until we're relegated unless someone comes in and picks up these players.

Before I renew my season tickets again I want to know from Parish and the board where they are taking this club in terms of investment in the team and the ground.I can't stand another season of negative boring football and under investment which will lead to relegation if not this season then the next. If Parish and the board aren't willing to invest further then neither am I

I don’t mind seeing the away games but we are complete and utter garbage at home and have been for some time.

Need everything fully pumped at Selhurst for that one and if we don’t get a win or a good performance and a draw we’re going to have an old skool slag off at Selhurst, I guarantee it.

I only go cos it’s easy. Otherwise I wouldn’t and might watch it falling asleep in comfort or not at all. But we need to stay in this league so if Roy brings in the points, we take it. If not, nah. He is partly responsible, in some of the time, so doesn’t deserve all the sh1t, but when it’s time in this business, and it is a business rather than a sport....

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Revert to 4-4-2' by bexleydave I acknowledge that Hodgson has 40 years more managerial experience than me and this season he seems wedded to 4-3-3 or 4-5–1 ( some may see it as 10-1).
