All equally likely when we just don't know and speculation is deeply damaging.

Well done, you invented something even less likely than mine. The point being that we don’t know why anyone would actually choose to take such a flag to such an event. What we do know is that supporting terrorists was not the purpose of that event, nor do I imagine many, if any, of those there do anyway. It’s just attempted deflection.

The media and government have been doing any awful lot of narrative building about these riots.

'Far right', 'bussing in', 'Tommy Robinson'.

How much of any of that is actually true or half truth or just made up?

This is Robinson's right of reply.

Apparently we have been hearing that Tommy Robinson has been involved in inciting riots. According to Robinson he's only asked for peaceful protest.....So how does that work?

Apparently that 'right wing' rag the Daily Mail has doxxed the location of his family holiday....where his kids are. How is that right? They make these claims about arrests but according to him he's not due in court yet and will be back.

Seems like a scapegoat to me.

Yes we shall see if there is 2 tier policing. Can you imagine if that was Farage

Farage is an MP. This guy is a local councillor.

Both should face the law equality but the sanctions on a MP would be much more visible.

I'll also make the point that they claim there isn't two tier policing when they are giving out three year sentences for striking a Policeman.....One of those Asian guys at the airport broke a Police woman's nose....How come that happened before these riots but they haven't been dealt with yet?....Focused onto one attack on a Policeman but less so on another.

Also, I remember during the BLM riots that guy who tried to set alight to the British flag on the Cenotaph.

That guy got a two year discharge and a few hundred pound fine.....No prison time.

Yet, they are mighty keen to send angry white protestors to jail.

Two tier Policing.

Strangely enough so are the far right protesters

So they claim.

Most of us though don’t riot, attack the police, destroy property and make people so scared they don’t want to leave home.

BLM protestors literally attacked and defaced the Churchill statue while Police sat around and watched.

The BLM riots caused business damage as well and people were hurt and attacked during that as well.

These apologists said hardly anything during those riots....in fact I remember the language they used was similar to Starmer, which was not confrontational and called for understanding.

These people are the real pond life.

What it all demonstrates is the contempt they have for ordinary people.
It also reveals the tactics they use in these situations for the uninitiated.

Many have learned a lesson from all of this, one hopes.

Perhaps those who are bleating about “two tier” policing failed to notice that one of the men sentenced to jail today in Plymouth was a counter protester, arrested for kicking someone with the evidence provided on his own camera.

That these cases are being fast tracked is both obvious and necessary.

If you need to stop stupid behaviour showing people the potential consequences is an effective way to achieve it.

Cases which don’t carry the same importance can wait.

Literally no reply to the cited cases and situations that actually prove two tier.

People saw the difference in response by the Police and Starmer himself at the time.

Starmer kneeled, Policemen kneeled.

There was even covid restrictions at the time but these guys made an exception for BLM rioters.

But when you had actual protests against the covid response the policing was different.....they can deny all they want the video of the reality is there for people to view along with their memories.

According to the the walking quacking analogy the reason would be that they support the cause the flag represents. But if you imagine a different reason that's obviously good enough.
