What are the government going to do about far-left, terrorist supporting, thugish mobs rampaging on our streets last night? Edited by georgenorman (08 Aug 2024 8.15am) You mean the decent peace loving citizens from all sections of society who came together in a moving show of solidarity in opposition to hatred? Citizens who offered love and reassurance to those who felt threatened? I saw no thugs or rampaging. Just togetherness and determination that the normally silent majority won’t allow a hateful minority to control the streets. That one or two were there with Palestinian flags was hardly surprising. What’s happening in Gaza is of concern to many and of deep concern to some.

Australia used to have the right idea, b turning boats back, and any that got through, were held on an island prison, prior to deporting. Trouble is, it's all gone a bit legal and Human Rights, and them pesky boat people arrive without paperwork or any means of ID'ing their origin. My own idea of deterrence would involve a few initial deaths by drowning, but then should be fine as boat numbers are vastly reduced by fear and choice Edited by Forest Hillbilly (08 Aug 2024 8.14am)
There isn’t a convenient island in the channel that’s suitable. The Australians weren’t dealing with the French. Drownings don’t appear to deter either.

There were no " right wing " protests in Croydon last night, only peace loving people coming together to confront the police and do some damage. For the love of god when is the ignore function going to be available
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

However the pictures do not lie. Edited by Mattconrov (07 Aug 2024 11.54pm) Oh the pictures can lie. Especially those which cut after a few seconds, move to another angle from another conveniently placed camera phone, missing out bits that are not wanted, and then often get put in a loop. Sometimes you have no idea if what is being shown is real, or entirely staged. You cannot know because there is no verification from a reputable journalist. That can be done by anyone. It’s not just one political ideology. The comparison comes with the way the MSM produce reports. Their videos are longer and show more continuous images of events backed up by proper journalism explaining what is happening. People who are there as witnesses and can verify what you are being shown is accurate.

Asylum seeking is, of course, something the British should know about from when they crossed the ocean bringing their corruption and diseases to the New World. All without any paperwork or ID, they swiftly set about the natives in true far-right fashion, in the future we would continue to subjugate peoples across the globe in this way. Compared to them, today's asylum seekers are role models, the most they would ask is for a job where they could contribute paying taxes and have somewhere to live. In a land of unemployable over-weight right wing slobs you would tbink they would be welcome.

For example the Manchester Airport incident, police hung drawn and quartered on the basis of selective video clip.
