Driving through Reigate yesterday I noticed Spare advertised in WHSmith window for £14. Half price already? Maybe not doing as well as we've been led to believe.

I'm in the West of Ireland; it's on the front of my local newspaper from yesterday. The interview was on Irish channels too. Attachment: 16736102987962025284368796304249.jpg (3,850.16Kb)

There are many reasons why popular books are discounted. Because they are easily available book shops try to attract buyers by discounting, they may be non-returnable for the seller, the publisher will offer a discount for bulk purchases which can be passed on. With the likely quantity printed expect to see it in remainder shops in the future.

It sold 1.4 million copies between US/UK and Canada on release day breaking the record for a non-fiction book, which was previous Obama's memoir.

Or if they sell 50 copies?
