At this stage of the season it's all about impetus and along with Wet Sham it feels like we are on a downward trajectory. If we can't avoid defeat to Seaweed we are in big trouble...

Let's give it everything against those plastics - win, lose or draw, I hope we really go for it.

My point was that a lot of people seem to think that Southampton should be a granted 3 points for us.

Who ever said that? And where? You're making it up. We've been s*** at home all season, why should anyone think we are going to be gifted points? Nonsense.

We have scored 10 goals at home in 12 games and conceded 13.
We have only won 4 of those games.
Dress it up however you want but that is poor form.
We have to play Newcastle and Watford at our place and right now I see us losing both games as well as losing at Brighton away.
After that we still have to play Chelsea, United, Spurs, Leicester, Wolves and Liverpool.
Weirdly enough we might get something out of some of those because we will be able to counter attack but whatever it is it won't be a lot!
Taking those games into account there are only 3 others left.
As I said in another post - I really fear for us now - low on confidence, one dimensional, can't score whilst starting to concede more and more, slow on and off the ball and a Manager with generally negative tactics.
If there are three below us at the end of the season then we will be lucky and something serious will have to happen in the Summer if we are to do better next Season.
Add to that - Wilf is now only worth a fraction of what we might have got for him in the Summer - happy days eh!

I'm on the last page, no one says we were due 3 points against Soton.

Third last post on this page (excluding yours) is by The Dolphin. There's no mention of a certain win against Soton.
Also you say "a lot of people seem to think Soton should be a granted 3 points". Where are these posts? You've tried to guide me to one, is that it?
I think most on here are realistic about our chances.

Three defeats in a row cannot hide in anyway that we are suffering, lack of confidence, lack of form, lack of leadership/ know-how from Roy,who is sleep walking the Club to the Championship.
Newcastle,Watford and Brighton are massive and anything less than 6 points from these fixtures could have huge consequences as we cannot rely on sides below to keep losing.

Dont stress yourself about it.

Osvaldo said that we made Southampton look great and I said they have been playing very well lately. That and other Palace fans I had spoken to expected us to beat them well.

Encouraging words, lets see what happens on the 29th. They played us of the park in the homegame and we were very fortunate with that point.
Stil many candidates for the drop: Norwich surely, Brighton, even Newcastle who are only a point above us. Think Villa, West Hamm and Watford will stay up. Norwich, Bournemouth and Brighton then . With us staying up by the skin of our teeth.

Brighton are in serious trouble. In their last 4 games have just played 4 teams below them in the table and failed to win 1 game. They now have a much tougher run of games and very diificult run in. Couple that with the fact that Potter is now panicing and playing Murray up front and changing his team and tactics every week. Our situation is not great but right now I would take ours over theirs. Hodgson's experience will see us through.

Norwich, West Ham, Brighton are my teams to go down.

You are right that they are 'massive' games for us but these teams will fancy taking our scalp too. The sooner we start working on our strategy to beat them the better.

I hope our players and coaches aren't sitting on beaches this week because they all need to get together and start polishing up their $hit act.
