People, more often than not come to directly reflect what they most dislike on others. The rest of us who just want the government to do their job, or who aren't matching races on tv against dulex colour charts will just get on with things as per usual .
You make a fair point. Interestingly, it's not seeing too many black faces that bothers me. It is the minds of people who make these things happen. I can just see them sitting behind their little desks worrying about political correctness and ratios. It is so patronising on the one hand and misguided on the other.

I just fear that if seeing a couple of black newsreaders of an evening triggers such a reaction in you, then whatever truth there may be to an aspect of your thinking you more than overcompensate in an equally unfortunate direction. I can see why it happens on both sides, but it doesn't seem very helpful when anyone does it.

It this case, it is reaction to the times, or more accurately the experiences of a lifetime in Britain. Things have changed dramatically and not always for the better for someone born in 1964.

Would that include those who could brainwash us into thinking multiculturalism and the presence of ethnic minorities in this country (though in fact black people have been here since Roman times) is not a negative thing?

I love it when people quote stuff like that. Like a trickle of visitors since 43AD has any relevance to the 300,000 plus immigrants coming here every year now. To answer. Allowing so many people to come here in a short time must have, and has had a serious effect on the country. Now I really can't be bothered to list the pros and cons but anyone who says there are no negatives are either deluding themselves or trying to delude others. The latter has helped create Brexit Britain. When people are told one thing and see another, they get angry. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (26 Nov 2016 2.08pm)

It means nothing more or less than that we have always been an evolving multi ethnic society for centuries...benefiting rather than harming us...
Off for lunch now followed by Swansea match!

Off for lunch now followed by Swansea match! You can use that term all you like but it won't alter facts about numbers.

Sky News absolutely does have a right wing bias. I'll have to watch ITV news to make my own judgement about it's political stance which seems so obvious to some. Surveys (admittedly a bit out of date but can't find any contemporary ones) suggest that the prevailing opinion is that Sky is *the most* biased of all organisations and towards the right ( [Link] ), and recent review of the sources used show that the BBC has been pushed towards the right in its bias ( [Link] - although you could make an argument that they have been pushed to the right from a left-leaning start point) Edited by OknotOK (25 Nov 2016 12.02pm) Irrespective of that, what's more galling for me in this important political year is that ALL the broadcasters have been shown to be pro remain and continue to promote the scare stories of leaving the EU, even now. As a snapshot, just look at the broadcasters' YouTube channels and count the stories yourself. The same goes for the negative stories on Trump but hardly a bad word on Hillary. So much for journalism (sic). You have liberal/left leaning broadcast 'journalists' following their own agendas. Edited by Penge Eagle (26 Nov 2016 6.37pm)
