Statistics lies and bubble gum. What to believe. Lets not forget the polls taken after 7/7 of course. They didn't paint such a rosy picture.
And right there, you show your ignorance. Muslim's are not a race. They are followers of the religion Islam. The 'swarm' as you so negatively describe them, are from a number of different countries in the middle east. Maybe you should stop reading the Daily Mail. Ok so I got the terminology wrong I apologise I will re phrase that in Belgium they have realised that they are getting over populated with "Muslims" so are sending them back. As for the "swarm" bit you mention they all might be from different countries but when they get to the different borders in which they want to cross they all get together as a "swarm" thereby causing havoc and problems. With regard to the Daily mail, NO I do not read it but it seems you do by mentioning it in your reply, because if you did not how would you know what they write????? 6% of the Belgium population are Muslim - Hardly a swarm or reason for concern. About half that of France and the Czech republic. More a case of peoples fear creating an issue that is out of proportion and in line with the increasing popularity of Islamophobia pandered to by the right wing. I'm not saying that immigration isn't a concern or Islamic terrorism and fundermentalism (of all kinds) shouldn't be ignored, but that our fears and paranoia are out of proportion to the reality.

Technically its a swarm of refugees. Not all of them are Muslim. One of the consequences of the advances in Syria of IS has been large scale displacement of the 25% or so of Syrians who aren't Muslim, along with those who are secular Muslims. Syrian Christians, Gnostics, atheists have been disproportionate in their numbers among refugees compared to their population representation in Syria. Just because they're Middle Eastern doesn't mean they all Muslims.

There will still be more Christians in the world in 50 years time than Muslims. Wouldn't it be hilarious if we have ended up under the yoke of their Fundamentalists by then?

About 80% of Syrians are of Muslim decent. That gets a bit complicated, because Atheists and secularists who don't worship or particularly practice, also are regarded as Muslim. Disproportionately though Christians have been targeted by IS, and fled. Whilst most refugees probably are Muslim, I'd hazard that more than 0.1% of them are of other denominations - Christians in IS areas have either fled, gone into hiding or been murdered.

Personally, I want to live in a secular society in which individual choice is defined by the individual where ever possible. And in my experience when it comes to forcing religious morals onto me, its always been Christians influencing politics towards a religious driven agenda rather than any other group. I don't really want any religion, but as I have to put up with one why not the other. Because you are advocating increasing its population. With Eastern Europeans and Muslims from the middle east and Africa the religious population in this country has increased since the left's much loved 'freedom of movement'. I don't want an increase of any holy joes here......In short from any group they are a pain in the arse. However I do find it annoying when its claimed that Muslims aren't any more of a problem than any other group.....Like you have here I believe Jamie. We are currently spending millions just on tracking radical British Muslims within our own country. Did you forget this Jamie? Are we spending millions on tracking those annoying holy joes knocking on your door? No society should move an inch towards an incoming group.....Not the Spanish towards the English nor the British towards incoming foreigners. Integrate or leave. No one other than lefties asked them to come here. The history of my family is steeped in these islands. Stirlings have fought and died in its armies for hundreds of years. No one is going to tell me that incoming foreigners (mostly men) looking for a nation of convenience are equal in worth to this nation. This aspect of the left leaves me cold.
