I guess soon there'll be a new term for the people who call out the 'woke'. 'Insomniacs' I guess is the next level up. Once you're woke to the woke.....there's no return to normieville.

Victoria Derbyshire Show Cancelled Yesterday there was the usual wailing and gnashing of teeth by the luvvies amid all sorts of accusations and conspiracy theories (cancelled to pay for the equality payouts etc.) The BBC put a spin on why (Online viewing was good) but the real reason was rather obvious nobody was watching it. For once I applaud the BBC, making popular programs is tricky but unlike commercial telly the BBC is very reluctant to cancel shows it has put a lot of investment into (see Doctor Who). Well for once common-sense has prevailed, I have never watched it so can't comment on it's quality but apparently it was an expensive show with low ratings. Welcome to the real world BBC I hope this is the start of a more realistic approach to television viewing. If it aint being watched can it.

Yep, Sargon's revenge. He comments on the details around the cancellation here: Just some figures to demonstrate the ludicrous regime in charge at the BBC. Lots of messages falling over themselves to laud her. Victoria Derbyshire is paid between £200,000-£250,000 grand a year. Yet her feminized social justice borefest of a show is only the 358th most popular show on TV with only a 19% positive opinion and an IMDB rating of 2.8 out of ten. As final evidence Bafta gave the show an award.....that's how crap it is. Money for old rope at the BBC......Easy come, easy go. Everytime I think about it the BBC just reminds me of nationalisated organisations.....they start servicing themselves as much as their audience.

The BBC seems to take it personally when a show doesn't work they dig their heels in and won't do the obvious. I hadn't realised it has been running for 4 years as for the award winning bit I think most of us realise that this is all back scratching "you vote for my girl I'll vote for your boy". The major American TV stations will probably cancel about 10-30 shows per year they just move on "nice try no cigar". Auntie Beeb needs to learn this lesson. Doctor Who peaked when under David Tennant and started to decline after that falling rapidly under Peter Capaldi it had a slight bump with the new doctor but is now in an even steeper decline. It's an expensive show they have tried to fix it but it's time to put it on the shelf for a few years. Amazing how free they are with our money.

They needed people like yourself decades ago Badger....perhaps they wouldn't be in their present mess. They are a huge social liberal echo chamber who gate keep much of reality from spoiling their worldviews.....all on the public purse. They can't understand why her show failed....I and many could have told them after the first show.....yet these jokers are on god knows how much dosh. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Jan 2020 9.15am)

The only time I watched her show was the only time I complained to the BBC. She just had a whole bunch on non-white people on to excuse the rape gangs. Disgusting b****.

I disagree with shelving it as all they need to do is to find someone to produce it that actually knows what the customers want and produce it accordingly

I was listening to Five Live this morning when Nicky Campbell was interviewing Andrea Leadsom and for a while Campbell forgot that he was supposed to be impartial. He was disagreeing with Dominic Raab's statement that immigration would only allow in the brightest people saying that he was wrong and that we should allow in as much unskilled labour as we need to act as carers for our elderly

There are only so many times that the doctor can save the world. Retire it for 5-10 years then bring it back with a new generation that haven't seen it.
