Quite right and if Roy were staying I can think of no reason not to announce it. So it is more likely that Roy is going and they want to avoid any distractions until the season is concluded. So let's hope for some positive news soon

In any event only an incredibly stupid chairman wouldn't know whether the existing manager is staying or going at the end of the season and whilst Parish may be many things he isn't stupid so Roy's future status will already be known to both parties although I have no idea why it hasn't been announced Even if Roy and the players weren't there, they will find out if Lampard was at the training ground. As you rightly suggested, it's the local staff that'll let the cat out the bag. Incredibly disrespectful to Roy if true, which I doubt very much it is. I've no doubt Parish has a plan (or at least a list of options), but when chairmen meet prospective new managers behind the back of their current manager, they do it in secret, in hotels or isolated locations, not at the training ground where they can be seen. Well according to the meeja Dyche is our no 1 target. Kinda like getting turned down by a girl so you move on to her best mate "it was always you darling I just was using your friend to get to you"

Otherwise it's the elephant in the room. It's perfectly normal for employees to be told of succession, and for new business heads to be introduced, before officially taking over

Parish is obviously lining Lampard up to take over, if he is being shown around the training ground. I would expect an announcement, when everything signed and sealed. No need for a media frenzy, then Lampard changes his mind and Parish left with an embarrassing situation. Like Howe did to Celtic.

Hold on people, another name has surfaced & more 'click-bait' Wonder what Luka would think?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

So let's hope for some positive news soon I agree. I said after we all but ensured safety by beating West Brom that if we got to the end of the subsequent three week break following that win, and Roy hadn't been offered a deal, he wasn't getting one. That was the time to offer him one, when there was a gap in the schedule to sit down and talk. It didn't happen.
