Spot on Braunston, grumpymort gets grumpier.
Tonight we lost to the best footballing team in the country so why to so called supporters have to slag off individual players is beyond me.
Wayne made some great saves as did Ederson from Tekkers and Wilf. You cannot go all out at City they will take you apart, ask Watford.

Agreed. Thought we gave them a run. The chap from Bloomfield should go and support Liverpool, we don’t need his kind here.

Thought we all played well, undone by two moments of quality.

Sorry but we didn’t give them a run at all. I’m not complaining at the result or score but when you’re behind you may as well give it a go. If they go 3 up they may not bust a gut for 4 or 5 anyway. They didn’t bust a gut for a 3rd as proof. We didn’t close them down in pairs and 3’s or 4’s and didn’t get tight to them at any time. Wish I stayed at home tbh but there’s going to be some games I may not make so I’m going when I know I can.

I’m leaning towards grumpymort.

What’s the port of a forum that just heaps adulation on its own players?

I love the player, but one of Wilf’s biggest personal challenges is to overcome his own petulance.

Sometimes his tantrums must really frustrate his team mates.

With all his experience, Roy should have got this sorted long ago.

Disappointing result but they are a superb team, can't see any of our players getting into their squad to be honest. Understand why people are saying we should have gone for it more but had Wilf scored to make it 2-1 we would have had a chance. 2-0 is a respectable result against the champions, and I'd much rather that than to ship 4 or 5.

Wayne was decent, Luka needs to sharpen up, Wilf was poor and Dann looked shaky.

i agree he needs to curb his tantrums, however really...in our eyes thats his only downpoint, and if thats the case then its really not that bad.

i am sure some team mates get annoyed by his tantrums, im pretty sure its overcome by the fact he produces a lot, and i mean a lot for the team on the whole so i am sure all is forgiven.

a lot of this over critical analysis of wilf IMO comes from his desire to play at a bigger club, we cant let that desire cloud the quality he brings to the team...as i promise, 100% that whatever money we get for him when he eventually leaves, we will not be able to properly replace him, so all this bollocks about his attitude does not wash with me.

we need to embrace & admire what we have before we dont have it anymore...hes not perfect, but he is our not perfect player...and i will defend him to the hilt because of that.

Wilf has lost a yard off his pace. That was not just evident today (when being outpaced for the loose ball by an ageing defender) but has been evident all season.
Yes, he’s still very skilful and still relatively quick but the blistering difference in pace has gone.

He has been totally average this year and mostly ineffective...no goals and two assists? Meh!

Never good to see a better side at our ground but they were very good and I thought we worked very hard and often well, yes we can't match them but we did resist them and 0-2 is not so bad against the champions. A lot of players had good games and not many attracted the sudden flurry of players that Wilf did as usual when he was near the ball...he was outplayed but he kept going. I appreciate Braunston's defence of Wilf, it was inevitable that there would be a lot of griping...actually not as much as I expected. I clapped them off quite proudly I thought they gave all they could.

City were on form and we didn't give it a go until Townsend came on.
If we had then we might have done okay orlost by more - who knows?
0-2 is acceptable but we should have had more ambition earlier in the game really.
Hennessey was good as was Kouyate - Schlupp was abysmal.
Most teams would have got done by City today so we can't complain - Sterling missed a bundle!
Move on to the next game!

The same best team that lost 2-0 to the wolves, and was beaten by Norwich? Wait, was also beaten by us last season

Living where you do, you should well understand what liberty means. Not even my dad or God can tell me what team to or not support. Wanting our team to have a result that’s equal or more than the sum of its parts is very very healthy my palace friend.

Ah we were beaten by the much better side and it could have been 6 or 7 , but in the same breath if Benteke’s header goes in with 15 to go then we would have been chasing a point. Football is a funny all game.

We lost and we all expected to lose but the big plus is that we were not completely battered so no long lasting damage done.
