Sell Sakho in January. He is a liability when he plays.

Kelly has been very good and is a superb player for the squad, but Sakho offers so much more in terms of bringing the ball forward and is just a class above.

We can just be happy we've got both as we'll certainly be needing them what with the injury record of Sakho and Tomkins. On their day I'd side with Sakho for the reasons you mention but glad to see Kelly putting in great performances. The benefit of true competition. If only we had that up front! Though tbf to Ayew he's improved this season despite having absolutely no competition!

Plus Cahill looking to be a fantastic piece of business...reckon Arsenal are kicking themselves for taking 'Luiz the Liability' over Cahill.

Great result yesterday especially after last weeks late disappointed. Fantastic to have a decent amount of points already and I think we'll need the buffer considering the tough upcoming run of fixtures over the next 2 months. Still I've got faith we could cause a couple of surprises.

Through accident or design we seem to have discovered an effective way of playing.
Playing with Ayew, Schlupp and Kouyate seems to enable us to play with more energy, zest and power.
It enables us to compete more effectively further forward than we would with the likes of Benteke and Meyer.
At the moment Kelly looks a better partner for Cahill than Sakho does.
Sometimes to achieve the best balance in the team does not entail utilising the best players.

Hodgson doesn't do accident, he leaves that for the players.

Yes, it's a victory for substance over style.

And that is Hodgson's strength.

Agreed.

Kelly is very reliable for a few games and does a good job, but a fully fit Sakho offers so much more

I thought that was a very competent performance. Apart from the last 10 mins of the first half I thought we were not in any trouble. Very happy with the 3 points and will watch MOTD as I was taking a p when the second goal went in

Blimey, you must have been desperate - we were in the second minute of added-on time.

We need a load of center halves because three of them get injured so often.

Sakho has more ability than any of them but he is ring rusty.
Kelly and Cahill have proved effective but I doubt any combination will stop us getting battered in the next four games.

thought bringing on Townsend was a good move. Not just about the goal but he was able to carry the ball forward and was a good outlet to take the pressure off. My feeling was if had come on for Ayew against Wolves we would have had 6 points instead of the 4 we got from the 2 games.

Norwich would have equalised last minute if RH had brought on Benteke.

There was a caller on 606 or Talksport a couple of weeks ago who said exactly this. "Why did we pay £8 million for Luiz when we could have had Cahill on a free."
