Huge games for us but given our form and reliance on Wilf I think everyone knows the best way to play against us now.
I fear for us now!

To think, not long ago many were talking about us potentially qualifying for a spot in the Europa League and achieving our highest ever place in the Premiership.
Now,as reality sets in, we will be fortunate to be in this League next season, thanks in no small part to a series of non event transfer windows. Thanks Steve!!

To be honest I would have said Villa from day 1 in the season but looking at them lately they seem to have enough about them to pick up points especially with Grealish playing as he is.

West Ham have the look of a team heading for relegation. Their fans are slaughtering them week in and out and even though on paper they should be good enough to stay up there is serious turmoil in that club. Their next 6 fixtures are Liverpool, Southampton, Arsenal,Wolves, Tottenham and Chelsea then throw Nan City game in there somewhere.

. . . & our fans aren't doing the same to our team? Along with fellow fans/manager/owners/board/stadium etc etc, We aint 'Stripey Nigels' for nothing you know

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

They might be in trouble but they are three points behind us and with a better goal difference and unless we beat the Toon in two weeks time they may well be looing at us and leap frogging us when we play them the week after that so if they are bang in trouble then sadly - so are we!

Oh I know well that we are bang in the muck there is nothing between a lot of teams but I will keep trying to look at the positives and if win our next 2 we would be basically safe and back up to mid table.

Having some bearing on our staying up this season,is our paper thin squad, lack of goals and now the news that Tompkins could be out for weeks with a hamstring injury.
We can't even recall Sorloth, now a goal scoring machine, to score the goals to save us and have sent out on loan, our one other genuine striker Wickham,on loan.
Survival is by no means a foregone conclusion.
Lose at Brighton and we may have serious issues.

No they are not, We have negative moany fans who winge on this site but they are not abusing the players and the board with pure hatred in the stadium. Massive difference.

We are currently the worst team. Something to think about. Maybe 9 points needed. Obligatory relegation scare is now. I get the feeling we will make it but we need an improvement in form.

Can only name one, Palace!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
We recently made S'hampton look great!
Now face a real battle to stay in the Premier.
At least we might win a game or two in the Championship!
Football has been terrible this season.
Really puzzled as to how this lovely club is run.
We can only score at home when we manage an own goal!
I am really sad and disappointed.
Think we've got to go back to the drawing board and start again, I mean get back to basics.

Relax

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

The negativity here is overwhelming. We are not playing that badly and if it hadn’t been for some bad luck we should have taken points of both high flying Everton and Sheffield United and prior to that we took points of Arsenal and City. we are just as capable of taking points and beating teams like Spurs, Chelsea and United as Losing to Brighton and Villa, it’s impossible to tell which games we will win. There is a chance we will go down, but personally I think that chance is slim. However if the underlying issues vis a vis strengthening the team next season are not addressed , Roy will walk and no other manager will want the job

It doesn't matter how well the opposition are playing, that should be taken as given. What does matter is competing, and for players and manger to honestly say to themselves after each game, "I did my best today". Anything less than that is just excuses.

My point was that a lot of people seem to think that Southampton should be a granted 3 points for us.
