Okay. I don't think it will affect his visa at all. I also think he'll go, and play, even if charges are looming. The only way I don't see him going is if he's both charged for something and the case is set to be heard during the Ashes. For me what Rooney was charged with recently was worse and he was back playing for the team a week later, and he would most likely still get picked for England next week if he hadn't retired.

How can you compare the two. Rooney was caught drink driving and although there was potential for injuring someone no-one was actually injured at all whereas Ben Stokes assaulted the bloke so badly that he ended up in hospital

The other was reactive and provoked.

I was shouting after the 3 sixes from Gayle to get him out of the attack, Morgan sticks with him and he went for plenty more in the next over. Plunkett superb again. Great summer he's had.

The problem Plunkett has is the selectors like people that bowl low 80's rather than 90+

Good pace but it's the Aussies who have the 90+ crowd. Ball can bowl at Plunkett's pace....He and Woakes will be our quickest out there. Our real quicks like Jamie Overton and Wood are always injured.....that and that Essex guy who only plays 20/20 because of his back.

I wonder whether him being signed up to play in the Bangladesh 20/20 has caused him to be ruled out of a test place as he's more complete than Ball, for sure. Tymal Mills is proper rapid. Real shame he can't play the longer formats.

Jake Ball is the new Jade Dernbach. Plunkett when on song can bowl 90 mph. There is no doubt in my mind which one would bother the Aussies more.
