I think you perhaps misunderstood the OP's point, or it perhaps wasn't that clear. (I think I got what he was saying).

That two managers with track records of getting defences sorted and keeping things tight at the back, had seen something in Schlupp's raw ingredients that they think they might be able to work with him and improve him into a quality LB. He's got the attacking side, the pace, the strength, decent in the air, he just needs working with in his positioning.

I don't think that they meant they are great managers and that their opinion somehow validates the signing of Schlupp.

Seems like we're having the piss ripped out of us by Leicester fans for spending that much on him.Must admit I've never really seen him do much. Not exactly excited by this.

Whew! Let's hope nothing derails that then.

Hope he signs for us although now being reported that West Brom and Villa are also in for him.
Being based in the Midlands,he may choose to stay locally.

Seems like an awful amount of money for someone who can't get into a Leicester team not far above us, but that is the problem with these stupid windows.

You'll see a lot of rubbish Written about him, you're best to ignore it. It seems to be fashionable to slate your own players for no good reason now days. It's the "banter" and "Lads lads lads" brigade out in force.

I know it's only one mans opinion, but I've tried to be totally fair about him in here. There are issues and it could go either way, but anyone denying that he's done well for us before and that he hasn't got the raw ingredients to be decent in the right circumstances is just kidding themselves.

It's a huge amount of money for where he is right now. But, that's just the way football has gone. It was nuts anyway, but the last few windows have shown plenty of players with just promise or a good year in the Championship, are suddenly worth £10m+.

How much would you want for Wilf, £25m? £30m?... puts £12m into perspective.

At least he is a natural left footer, decent defensively, and with pace to burn. If he has Wilf or Townsend ahead of him on the left, in a way all he has got to do is pass to one of them and admire the results!

That's the bit he's got to work on.

You'll have a huge attacking threat down that side if you have someone like them in front of him. He's very good at linking up play and overlapping.

We've insisted that our fullbacks defend first and the manager doesn't want them overlapping. That's why he got dropped in the first place. He's just not defensively minded... yet.

Like I say, he needs time and nurturing in that position. If he gets it, then he could be a Danny Rose absolutely no problem.

Chillwell is our backup left back and one of the most highly rated kids in the country. He makes mistakes and gets caught out, just like Schlupp does. It's all about time and learning the position and how to play at this level.

What have you w***er done about football?

I'm just bringing arguments to the discussion, making a reasonable point and you're laughing it up like a retard.
