Yeh tongue in cheek there mate. Although good point, I think Tomas Brolin at center back might be an improvement.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Personally don't see things as black and white as 'he's lost the dressing room'. PL players are paid fortunes and it is foolish for them to not do their best -- they could lose their starting spots or get a reputation as a sulker/trouble maker. The financial ramifications of either are pretty big. They also have professional pride.

Which ones have reservations about Pardew?

I honestly don't know -- who does? But specifically on Wilf for a moment...he pushed for the Man U move and asked to leave in the summer. So if we are to make him WANT to stay, then a manager he believes in strongly would be great.

Mandanda also seems to be playing the French media to say awkward things.

I am obviously commenting from the viewpoint that he's a goner which seems to be what most fans now want.

If he stays, and I hope he doesn't, then it would be great to have the club moving strongly the right direction so that the playing staff are happy.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Is that why Chelsea couldn't be bothered for Jose and Costa gained a stone in weight ?

Anyone think Shaun Derry has a chance, He lacks experience at this level but has Been in management at lower level for 3 years or so now and is currently doing a good job at Cambridge with no money. I don't think we are going to be able to attract a top Manager, So might as well look to the future. The talk or Coleman, Hodgson, fat Sam and the like have had there chance and never really done anything in Management. So why not try someone younger like Bournemouth did

I think it will be Sam or Cwoydon Woy, Kenny Jackett would be a leap of faith, no prem experience, but imho KJ is el cajones del perro and is suddenly available. At least we'll pick a boss to meet our limited expectations: prem survival. Just need to stabilise in the prem before the ground gets redeveloped - if we can survive that expense with the help of the yanks then we can start aiming our sights a bit higher.

A new manager should not be such a big make or break deal.
What's needed is a half dozen football coaches, with a Head Coach who is replaceable according to performances.
A change of one all powerful manager to another should not be allowed to make a big difference to a club.
Whether a "football man" conman or "football philosophy" charlatan they should be told to concentrate on their job of making players play.
Of course if the people in charge's infrastructure is not yet ready then you just have to take a punt.

I think 1, 2 and 4 keep us up safely in my opinion tho. 3 could be a world class manager one day or a flash in the pan. So he'd be the risk option.

(My guess is we could get Pellegrini back from China).

I'm liking these suggestions and I would throw Laudrup into the list is possible.

What I would like to see is the boards written reply to Dougie, because if the job comes up you know he's going to apply!

Dear Douglas,

We would like to thank you for your recent application for the managers position at Crystal Palace Football Club. Although we appreciate your interest we feel we have had stronger applicants on the occasion, even some who appear to be less loyal or successful than you. I can confirm that there is no "Job Application Submission Bonus" so we have returned the details of your bank account. Also, if you could return the company laptop, mobile phone and six month supply of stationery that went missing after your last employment we would appreciate it. Lenny Lawrence claims you didn't give them to him to pass on.

Yours CPFC2010.

Quite like the look of Nagelsmann but we'd not be any more likely to get him than Howe, he's got a very good thing going with his club.

Mancini sounds like he has too abrasive a personality, so unless he's mellowed, no. Flores only just rejoined his old club from Watford so again not likely. Pellegrini, I have my doubts about, he doesn't seem dynamic or pragmatic enough, too set in his ways - though maybe that's just me holding his age against him.

BSA would do me but would the players respect him after England? IMO Pards could turn it around but he needs to do a root & branch analysis and rebuild our whole setup with a fresh pair of eyes. Is he able to do this?

So we want either a manager who with a choice of any English player he wanted picked a team which gets beat by the likes of Iceland or one that narrowly escaped relegation last season?

To be fair, he had the worst team in the league when he took over, and the general consensus was that he did a very good job keeping them up.
