Corbyn and Mcdonnell have already explained what they were doing, we don't need to go over old ground. Anyway this thread is about the current Tory debacle.

I haven't read I,Claudius either. Read Aasimov's I,Robot though I suspect the 2 are quite different.

What time frame have you arbitrarily set? You posted a 4 year old picture.

The point about I, Claudius is that Claudius owed his survival to playing up to his deficiencies: his stammer, his limp and his nervous tic. While everyone around him got killed or banished, he sat quietly until the Praetorian Guard proclaimed him Emperor.

You're making BJ out to be a buffoon. I can assure you he's not, despite what a French tabloid thinks.

Maybe nick can relate more to Keyser Soze.

As much as I don't like Boris, there is little doubt that he was shafted completely by Gove & Vine with the latter's 'arguably deliberately' incendiary leaked email quoting Murdoch & Dacre (whom all Conservative MPs bow before in reverence).

Theresa May is clearly the front runner with majority support, with expected backing from Gove; Crabb and Dr Fox as they seem to claim premier Cabinet positions.

The thought of Morgan and / or Gove to continue as Education Secretary continues to chill me to the bone given back door ongoing exercise in privatising State Sector Education system. Still NO cast iron evidence to prove that academies outperform local maintained, with Head Teachers bullied into adopting transition.

That's why I am going to be joining my fellow NUT brothers and sisters (alongside a lot of supportive parents by all accounts)in marching on parliament next Tuesday.

I've also read the end of Claudius The God.

with extra Boy Butter.

Odd about Gove, having ruled himself out 3 times even offering to write it in blood.

Must have been a lovers tiff... and definitely not once, twice , three times a lady.

And yet spineless, ever-so-soft-in-the-head, other teaching unions are still deciding...(Somebody wake them up in the interests of representing 'common sense' before it has gone)

Hmmm...so Gove promoted 'Leave' even though he knew the likely next PM would be an incompetent for him one in Boris even though we would likely be going through very turbulent times should the 'Out' vote win.

That to me strikes as very suspect judgement about the pursuing of a Brexit or brilliant political tactics in his own quest for power knowing that if they won he would knife Boris at the given time. Today.

Either way - it's all about him. Which makes me even more concerned because his oratory skill was generally very good and could be very convincing for plenty and now I am wondering if he did it not for 'the benefit of the UK' but for his own career.

But he is Scottish so he'd better bloody win now.

I have been an active member of the 'Conservative Party' for many years, serving on local branch committees, attending party conferences and functions, partaking in policy forums and campaigning in local and General Elections with local candidates and MPs etc etc. I have met many ministers over the years and party leaders. I could go on and on...

I am genuinely very surprised at today's developments and I shall be shortly going out to discuss these matters with fellow Conservatives over a pint or two !

I'd withdraw your membership if I were you and find more productive ways of spending any free time. What other evidence can there be from current Tory (and Labour) Party developments that key figures are not in it for themselves? NHS, Education urgent reform and beyond has now been firmly kicked into touch until at least after WAAAAY-TOOO-LONG Summer Recess.

Forgot to mention that you might have St.Theresa on your bedroom wall but the teaching profession en masse is ever so likely to have pictures of Michael and 'Doh...Nicky' on a dartboard!
